MAB did not rescue Rayani. Rayani's bosses chartered (paid for) MAB aircraft to fetch the stranded passengers.

As what I heard, the will refuelling and changing of crew in MEL. So KUL-MEL - 1 set of crews and MEL-AKL-MEL another set of crews. They won't have night stop/layover in AKL. It should be tiring for pax from KUL I guess. 7 hrs + 4hrs . 😱

Even though based in LGK, but the crews are based in KUL. Yesterday upon arrival in KUL, there was another set of crews to operate second flight to kbr and lgk .

BTW what sort of snacks did they offer for sale?
Mix nut, coffee or tea or juice. since there was no menu card in the seat pocket. If u pax want to make a purchase, they will stop and give the menu card for reference.
Man, i wished that they have gone the proper repaint rather than just a decal treatment. Its kind of glaring to see the hull where obvious paint-overs can be spotted in bright sunlight.
However it is GREAT that we get to use the smarties again!

They really need fully new paint. Not just "cut" and paste. They should also change their livery style. With this current livery, the aircraft looks dull and not really attract people. Need to put different styles of stripe, font, logo and etc

Was on the holding point at PEN when i realised the red cap on final was indeed a A330.
Now i wonder, how does domestic pax board the plane as K, J and odd number gates of P,Q are inaccessible to widebodies? I never saw widebody aircraft on K22
They only can use K22 gate for widebodies domestic departures since other K gate and J gates are not designed for widebodies

Since D7 operations quite loose nowadays, so leasing aircraft to AK may fully utilise D7 A333. Pax should be lucky enough to fly widebody to Penang . 😬

Just saw D7 flights to PEN via D7 8014 using A330 from KUL - PEN - KUL in klia2 FIDS and D7 bird was park at gate K22. Any idea about this lease?
Checked their website but thereh was no D7 flight stated.

Indonesia AirAsia Extra (IAAX) is now operate Airbus A320 out of SUB & CGK with XT flight number. Found this Q&A In AirAsia website.
"1. Why has my flight code been changed?
Effective 5 July 2015, several AirAsia Indonesias flights (QZ) between Jakarta and Denpasar will be operated by Indonesia AirAsia X (XT), resulting to a switch in flight code from QZ to XT. However, the 4 digit flight number and the flight schedule will remain unchanged.
2. Which flights will be affected by the code switch?
There are 4 flights which code will be switched effective 5 July 2015:
QZ 7531 (DPS-CGK) will be operated as XT 7531
QZ 7532 (CGK-DPS) will be operated as XT 7532
QZ 7533 (DPS-CGK) will be operated as XT 7533
QZ 7534 (CGK-DPS) will be operated as XT 7534
3. Will my PNR (booking code) remain the same?

Latest rumour from trusted source said AirAsia will fly from KUL to UTP. But couldn't find any official articles from AirAsia. Soon pax don't need to transit via DMK to Pattaya Island. Keep it up AirAsia . Waiting for Maldives. Any update ? 😬😬😬😬

It's not just him committing suicide, he murdered 149 people. In the days where there was the flight engineer, at least there were 2 persons in the cockpit at all times.
But I guess certains airlines practices one cabin crew should be inside the cockpit whenever one of the pilot go for toilet.

Even with the code with someone still in the cockpit, he/she can override this code as there is a time delay before electrical latches get released. Overheard some people discussing a possible CFIT. Opinions please?

Just a question...can't cockpit doors can be opened from the outside??? I thought cabin crew has a panel she could key in to open the doors...can the pilot 'over ride' the option?
Cockpit door can be opened from outside when entering certains code at the panel next to lavatory. And the code is depends on the company itself.
