Nice shots Pieter, the 747 is a Cargolux one?
-
we had a discussion on the dutch messageboard scramble about it. In this case definately no brakes cooling. But just some errors I guess. For those who can read Dutch: http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32098
Added another shot from 8 May. N767A

I like to make some additions to the shots of Pieter of 8 May.
I've done some early morning spotting at AMS. From 5 AM to 10 AM, here some results! Among them a very very early rotation of OH-AFI!
And further seen an AF 321 who couldnt retract landing gear.
Special Jetix (kids TVChannel) promotion stickers.
Air Berlin with an aircraft leased from Iberworld, nice hybrid!
-
Nice shots of PHMCE Pieter!! She is looking quite orange on your pics? On the pics I found on scramble they look more red??
A few shots made on 1 May 2007 on EHAM/AMS.
Enjoy!
And here 3 large pictures I made.
If she bows further she will pop out of her skirt I mean this is a very big shot of a winglet of a B738
And a Continental B752. As can be seen: nosegear getting up from the Polderbaan (36L).

So, are you coming or not? We are waiting for you!I cant afford another longhaul trip anymore this year! Are I have to go there on my bicycle, then its a free trip, but then I have to start biking tomorrow I would if I could!

as I read this topic it really makes me feel like going to KUL in for 2nd Anniversary

Nice and sunny shots, Cornelis; hope to see moreShould have known you were there, for, I passed DUS airport on my way home from Sauerland last sunday
More ladies or more aircraft?
Ahh I'll get to EHAM/AMS again in a few weeks I think, have to get the 767 flying for SLM and have a nice day abroad. So maybe you are working are whatever, but would be cool to meet up someday this year.

No 4 holers?Sure we had lots of them!
Here some examples
Here a co pilot trowing a bottle of water down for a thirsty captain.
A hovering Heli
Air Berlin flight attendent on the tarmac
Groundcrew.. YES ladies! I am going to apply for a job at Swissport handling for groundcrew as well
And one of them is making picture of me! Or is she photographing the Finnair A319?

Yes, from railway. Sure nice A319s behind Air MAdrid! To badd MAD was in front. Was also an MAD 330 in LTU Hangar. And those two new Chinese baby busses are also ex Air Madrid. How come they said LTU wanted to take over Air Madrids operations a few months ago? Also spotted some nice babes this day. Any interested people for some pics?

Hey guys,
I have been in Germany again at EDDL/DUS. Below some nice aircraft!
-
Research pointed out it probably wouldnt work, here some arguments from Nigel Dennis student from the University of Westminster;
- people dont want to pay for their food and inflightentertainment, especially not on those long flights!
- people like to pay a little more for comfort and luxery, so not to small seats, (I think KLM 744s are already small! Imagine how new lowfare airlines will have their seats)
- Business people, mostly frequent flyers, stay with their own airline
- Lowbudget airlines also make profit out of their fast turn-aroundtime. For large aircraft we can say, they are already flying most time of the day, so they probably wont get a lot of profit from this, not even if their turn around is half an hour shorter then a "traditional airline's" aircraft is.
- They need hubs and onward flights, codeshared or not, because transit pax are important for a lot of airlines! Look at KLM and MAS.
- And what about cargo carried aboard on long-haul flights? The lowfare airlines we know now; dont carry cargo, except for the baggage of the passengers
-
.... Those DC-10's used to be very regular at AMS, however, no moreThose DC10s are allowed to fly in EU again, and perhaps get back
-
Very nice report Pieter!

here some pictures of Firefly on the Dutch airnews website:
http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/pictures/firefly/
Destinations flown according to the article are:
Kota Bharu, Kuala Terangganu, Kuantan and Langkawi, and in Thailand: Phuket and Samui.
Possible new destinations in the future can be: Bandar Aceh and/or Medan in Indonesia.

So far as I'm aware, no such thing as back-up a/c in airlines - waste of resource....As far as I know, KLM has at least 1 aircraft of every type for backup!
-
Ex D-ABAI.
-
Dont you have such a small key (for big aircraft) for me?
Very nice movie!
Best regards,
-
as Thai & Singapore are both in StarAlliance already, I think its no option for MAS to join Star! And as MAS is already code-sharing a lot with KLM I think I see them joining Skyteam someday.

Good shots!
I had room pfff 2306. But no view to the APP. There are rooms who have good views. But I believe that are the most expensive rooms in a hotel where the cheapest rooms are very expensive already! I believe it was AOT which brought me back to my hotel.

What a shame! I haven't had any problems around the airport yet, but I'm pretty sure they'll get me one of these days... I really don't understand what the problem is with standing somewhere and enjoying the action at the airport. I mean, Don Muang was a military facility, sure, but Suvarnabhumi? And there are many Thais as well who like to look at the aircraft. This airport is supposed to be a new pride for Thailand and its people, and yet they are not allowed to enjoy it? A bit cruel, especially as most Thais will never be able to fly, even with the very low fares offered by Nok etc.Anyway, glad you were still able to take pics from the hotel, I was wondering whether it offered possibilities. And they're not bad at all!
First of all they treated me normal. Nothing weird really.
Second.. lots of locals people stopped their car parking on the road to have a view over the airporttarmacs and the RWY 19L departures. But they all got send away by traffic police or airport security. They were not allowed to stop there or observing aircraft. To bad. Well I was happy with the place in my hotel. Managed to get all the Nok Air 737. Now I've heard there is a new Nok 734 in Subang hangar, so I have to get back someday I got all the BK Airways B717s, A320s, and all the ATR except the -PGA. And further I only missed the Drukair A319 (lease for BK Air), I've seen her a couple of times but no good opportunities for a picture. But I got lots and lots other superb machines passing by, so I cant complain about one or two aircraft!
-
Love all your shots; so much more different than the 'boring' AMS trafficThe Bangkok Air A320's remind me of the CDG shots (with the ATC tower in the rear): good photo-spot
These landing shots are taken from inside the Teminal ?
As I got carried away by Airport Security! The drove me in their car to my hotel, I had no other choice then making pictures from behind the glass. This was the highest floor of my hotel with view on APP. Relaxing, airconditioning and my room close so I could get cold drinks BUt it took a lot of quality away from my pics..
But the fact they drove me away wasnt really cool. The needed copy op pasport escorted me into the hotel which not really pleased the manager. There were 2 hotel managers making notes infront of my room Well... airport security escorting a guest back to his room is not really looking customer friendly is it?
And because of those gents I missed the orange Qatar A333. But one day later it was again in BKK. And nailed her then
-
Well as you all have seen some of my shots at KLIA.
Now I will show you some of BKK/USM/HKT.
ENJOY! First Bangkok:
A few pictures at Koh Samui
This 717 I flew from BKK to USM
A few pictures at Phuket

All trough the windows. The KLIA Satelite building has some nice spots to photograph from! Only I couldnt get reflection away on all pics. I think I was walking around the satelite building all night long, think I made the cirkel through the building for at least 10 times
-
ah back to oldies?
If we talk about oldies, I also read in the newspaper in my hotel in KL that MAS is considering leasing a 727 for some domestic cargoroutes!!
