  1. Now I understand why some cabin crew's mandarin are quite good, they do have some mainland chinese onboard.

Same here. During me last trip to China with MAS I found their mandarin sounds different as in it does not sound the same way that we speak in Malaysia. wink.gif

  2. TK, you mentioned that on the Airbus (presume same on 777), when you move the stick to the right, the plane turns right but when the stick returned to neutral position the plane continues turning.

So does this mean you have to move the stick left to stop the plane turning? Also how do you control how sharp you want to turn?

    Thanks. smile.gif

  3. arr! blardy thais.... jk jk. Malaysia seems to start losing in terms on heights. Twin Tower also 2nd, now KLIA tower also 2nd..

Well, look at it this way, our Petronas Twin Tower is still the tallest 'twin' in the world. In terms of office building it was over taken by Taipei 101. dry.gif

Let's face it, everyone in the world have hunger for tallest (biggest) this and that. wink.gif

Come to think of it....maybe one day someone will come up with something so tall we can just take the elevator to space? tongue.gif

  4. As far as I remember they have stopped the trans-tasman service to BNE. This is because of low load and is hard competing against number of other airlines.

All are now direct KUL-AKL with both B747 and B777.

You can check it at Malaysia Airlines website.

  5. Not much, but I think our Air Force can beat the New Zealand Air Force...... wink.gif

You're right Capt. Since the NZ govt decided to scrap the remaining Skyhawks a few years ago, now all that are left are a few Hercules and 757.

Before you know it, one of the Hercules or 757 will be stuck on foreign soil with technical problems... wink.gif

    And Chapfun, great shots too!

  6. I remember previously that a number of ex-SQ B744 went to other carriers like CX? CX seems to be obsessed at one stage getting a large amount of second hand B744.

I also remember seeing a photo in A.net indicating an ex-SQ B744 going back to Boeing to be converted into a freighter?

Sad to see SQ B744 go no doubt. Hope MAS will keep theirs for a while. I mean, nothing beats the look of the queen of skies.

    Leased to Boeing

If you want to post images/screenshots here, you first need to register at one of the free image hosts like PhotoBucket.

There you can upload the pictures from your computer. Once uploaded, underneath the picture you've uploaded, there is a URL link. Copy that link and back in MW's reply window, there is a button labelled 'IMG'.

Click that button and paste the URL you've just copied and that's it. To make sure you've done it correctly, click Preview Post. If all goes well, your picture will load up.

Looking forward to your screenies. biggrin.gif
