Besides Two Japan Government B744 parked in remote stands, I also sighted Thai Government Airbus, One Air India old colors, Brunei ALI as well as of 20th Nov 1930LT in SIN.Hi LeeCH. Do you know when the planes will be leaving SIN?
I'll be leaving SIN for KUL on 22 Nov so perhaps I can spot some of them in the terminal?
-
Just arrived in SIN from my flight from CHC.
On my way out of the airport I saw two Japan Air Force B744s. Just to pass on the info to some SIN spotters who may want to shoot them.
-
Okay, enough of Air New Zealand bunch for now....
Here are some of my SQ collections...
A little fogging up...
Speaking of bending wings, the SQ isn't doing too bad here...
Notice the vortex over the wing
Different spot on a different day...
In CHC you get plenty of people stopping by just to watch planes
Too bad for an overcast day
And a little guy...
-
From the photos KLM crews do look very friendly.
To date I haven't had any waving pilots in CHC.
-
Very nice shots again guys! Thanks for sharing them.
And Gavin, congrats on getting a DSLR and becoming one of the dark-siders.
-
You're welcome Uncle Pieter.
I've only flown in those 'beast' once on Palmerston North to Wellington route. There is only one (cramped) seat on each side of the cabin. You can see the cockpit too....so I guess the experience can be somewhat like that of the Twin Otters.
Ricky, you've got some serious bendy ATR wings there~
We get lots of bendy ATR down here. I'll have more ATR shots for you over time.
Okay, refuelling (of photos) time...
Another Air New Zealand gang...
The younger brother meets the older brothers...
The usual Arab dropping by gracefully....
Nose of who? I think you know...
With every nose, comes with a tail...
Show me the fans...
Oh yeah!
Tail and winglet combo...
More to come...
-
Thanks and you're welcome Uncle Norman.
You guys feed us with shots from Malaysia and we'll feed you guys with shots from NZ!
Here are some more...
For Pieter who will surely fly in these when he visits NZ
The newer type of prop in the fleet...
Yes...look into my eyes... I mean, lense!
The usual Air New Zealand gang...
-
Very nice catches Raj.
Oh by the way, that Fokker in question used to belong to NZ Post if I remember correctly.
Okay, my turn to feed you guys with shots from CHC.
Waving from the left
Blink blink!
-
Thanks Raj. I'm enjoying your shots from AKL too. I'll feed you with CHC shots and you'll feed me with AKL shots.
Uncle Pieter, I managed to dig up the following routes which uses the Beechcraft 1900D. I've made the list starting from the main centres. Pardon me if I missed a few routes.
Christchurch - Hokitika - Christchurch
Christchurch - Wanaka - Christchurch
Wellington - Palmerston North - Wellington
Wellington - Blenheim - Wellington
Wellington - Westport - Wellington
Wellington - Nelson - Wellington
Auckland - Whangarei - Auckland
Auckland - Tauranga - Auckland
Auckland - Hamilton - Auckland
Auckland - Rotorua - Auckland
Auckland - Taupo - Auckland
Auckland - Wanganui - Auckland
Auckland - Whakatane - Auckland
Auckland - Gisborne - Auckland
I hope the list helps a bit. Please note that on some routes 1900D will only be used at certain times of the day. If you want the flight times please visit airnz.co.nz. They provide the times and the aircraft used.

Sorry for being quiet guys. Have had a busy week.
I love all the A340! Ricky, the A345 you got seems like having some crosswind, am I right? Oh btw, do you know what is the registration of the B737 that you said broken down? And how good you can get so many probs there... Nice!
Raj, the pencils that you've got are just awesome! The 4th of the A346 was great!! And you've got engine with BLUE CONE! Soo goodddd...... Haha...
Thank you guys for sharing! Really enjoyed that!
Probably just aligning the last minute. The day was pretty calm. If you like props, then CHC is a pretty good place to be.
This aircraft was in an QANTAS commerial that asks to see Australia play at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Soccer in Germany. It shows ZK-JNB heading to the aerobridge gate and a FIFA soccer coach that tells the pilots that -JNB's nose gear is on the line.
I didn't realise that Andrew. Thanks for sharing with us that.
Thanks Nor Sani, glad you're enjoying them.
Here are some more...
Rolls Royce all the way!
This Fokker is in a very sorry state...
-
Excellent shots from you KC.
Thanks for sharing them for those who can't see A380 in real life.
-
Good shots Liau. It's nice to see clean blue skies returning to KL.
-
Enjoyed all the shots Naim. Thanks for sharing.
I really like the sunset shots.
-
Ricky,
The ROW of fence isn't as bad as the occasional Lamp Posts you get in Sydney.
I guess at every airport there is always something a spotter dislikes.
In CHC we can drive up to the fences (except this spot) and either shoot through the fences or perhaps bring a ladder or stool to stand on.
The most convenient spot to spot in CHC is still the open air observation deck.
-
Chan, don't worry. Ever since Air NZ pulled out their B747 services in CHC, B777 (or maybe A345) is as big as it gets in CHC too.
In CHC you can never run out of these guys...
Another type of prop
This poor guy may be broken down...been sitting at a remote stand since I got there...
At this point I decided to try a different spot...
Upon getting there I was met with two fences. The first one was just a short fence but the second one was higher and just 50m in front of me!
The end result...
Then a 4-holer decided to come in for a visit
The Arab floating in gently...
I present to you EK A345 and THE Fence
And again, we have the lovely fence...
-
Thanks Tony. Glad you liked it. I never get tired of those Trents.
Uncle Pieter, don't worry about me leaving NZ. In 2007 I'll still in my final year of my studies. After that I'll still be here working. I look forward to having another MW member in NZ.

Ricky,
Nice pictures again; like the Air Pacific/Fiji 738 shot a lot.
CHC airport looks nice and surroundings are just gorgeous: hills and lot's of trees - looks quite 'provincial'
Glad you enjoyed it Uncle Pieter! The hills you saw in the pictures are the well known Southern Alps in the South Island of NZ. In winter when there is snow on the alps it can be a nice touch to a photo.
Perhaps one day you can come visit CHC and have a spotting session?
Continuing...
As the clouds began to roll in, suddenly out came something...'Who could it be....?"
It's none other than LeeCH's lovely toy 777!
It's SMOOKKIINN!
Just lovely...
Lovely again...
Victor India coming for visit
Never miss a photo opportunity with the Trent!
...or the butt (or tail)!
Not to be outdone by the visiting Singaporean, both Qantas and Air NZ are racing out to get some attention...
Stay tuned for more.

Sirej, we have the following airlines flying in CHC:
- Air New Zealand
- Qantas Airlines
- Singapore Airlines
- Pacific Blue
- Polynesian Blue
- Freedom Air
- Korean Air (resuming in Summer)
- Emirates
- Air Pacific
- Jetstar
Ignatius, glad you're enjoying the Kiwis. There are plenty!
Simon and Andrew, you're most welcome and please enjoy all the shots.
Here are more...
Another ANZ B733 ready to go
The little guy having its well deserved rest
This guy not getting so much rest
Pushing back...
Going...
Still going...
Meanwhile, a guest from the Pacific coming in...
Island of Kadayu?
While waiting for the next bird, the cloud is coming in...
-
Nice shots Sneeze and Radzi sir!
Good to see another type of aircraft flying in the skies in Malaysia!
-
Thanks for all the comments everyone and glad that you're enjoying them.
As usual, there is some sort of staring competition and that day was no different...
Pieter, you like props right? Well there are plenty of these proppies around so enjoy these.
Twins?
One of the catch I wanted that day...
There are no Malaysian 777 so an Ang-moh 777 will do
Heading out to Runway 20 (Oi! Wrong way buddy! I'm on the other side! )
Props and jet
Jogging down the runway
Rotate!
On it's way to Raj-land
-
Thanks SuRej for the comments. Glad you liked the photos here.
nice covereage! could the Uniform Whiskey be the first A/C to get the new livery perhaps??? It looks like some vandals attacked her and sprayed graffiti on the nose! what's up with that? haha
From what I heard Air NZ has abandoned their plans for a new livery. I think cost cutting was their reason or something along that line.
And that 'graffiti' is actually a picture featuring a town or city in NZ. All the 747 which has been upgraded with the new seats feature the 'small' picture. Quite pathetic right?
Cheers for the comments guys.
-
Excellent catch of the JAL B744 Raj!
Continuing on...
Usual bunch at NZCH
Burning rubber!
Another head...
And the tail.
And of course, there's always the little ones...
-
The moon was up there in the morning. Lucky for me to capture the moment when this A330 rotates real early. I think Kevin Teh got it too. Raj C, I want to dedicate this photo to you if you missed this shot.
I really liked this shot Chaity. Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome shots from everyone else too. Cheers!

My exams are finally over and there is an urgent need of fresh air.
So what's better than to head out to the airport and sniff some jet fuel?
Starting off with some Qantas NZ B733:
Anyone like a head?
Where there is a head, there must be a tail to go with it.
Heading off to Raj and SV's place
Pilot: "Are you sure this is my plane?"
Gnd Crew: "Beats me. It's still a plane isn't it? Not need to be so picky."
More to come over time.

Cheers Liam.
I'll see what I can capture when I leave for KUL tomorrow.
