    Scary experience... and a very lucky one considering the plane has 'tilted' at such a big angle...

    Hrmm... can't watch at 9pm... clash with my fav shows: 3lbs (ch7 8.30-9.30) and Ugly Betty (ch18 9.30-10.30) (ok i DO watch Ugly Betty (for Rebecca Romijn), and Desperate Housewives (Eva Longoria), and Grey's Anatomy (Catherine Heigl n yes, Kate Walsh), so what...good shows are not to be missed, right :D ).

    I have to stay for 1am show... did that last week... all other additional screening times are inconvenience for me to watch.

     

    So people, if you cant watch at 9pm tonight, wait for 1am show the same night.... or return from work early tomorrow to catch 3pm show (3pm if i'm not mistaken..)

    ok... now back to the differences, perhaps KC Sim wants to highlight them with the purple circles again... :D

     

     

    OT: 1 more thing: PIA's curvy line (from below the PIA words right up to the mid-section) kinda similar to EL AL's, isn't it?

    Last Monday I saw Fedex's MD-11 departing PEN's rwy4 with none of its landing gears retracted. dunno when it retracts (or never?) because already out of my eye's limit to zoom at the gears (haha!). it was heading south. SIN probably..

     

    Few days back, saw MH 734 climbing rwy4 slower than usual, with unretracted gears as well! heading north...

     

    Why? gears too hot to reatract??...

    This could be hard but possible. Since A330 and B777 both type has variety engines by request, the engine sound is different.

     

    Example - MAS 777 powered by RR engine which is a bit loud and has a slight whistling sound

    - Like CO 777, it's powered by GE90, it's a bit silent compare to RR, and has a powerful continuous burst sound.

     

    For A330, I'm not really familiar with their engine sound, I know that their RR powered A330 has engine sound with a rattling sound.

     

    Being in PEN and the only visiting T7s are SIA's, i'd say that is a perfect description. :good:

    I can tell even by sitting in the office and not looking. apart from the normal PEN-SIN schedule-lah.. ehehee... love the whistling sound

     

    Can anyone differentiate the sound during approach? tricky eh? :p

    Not A300 eh? TG always send A300 to PEN for overnight and return to BKK in the morning.... but sometimes they use A330... could be it... hmm..

     

    ehehee... MH 737 PEN-LGK?... got... 10 years ago. i did it once. just 20mins hop. they served the ever popular orange juice... eheheee... ;)

    Why i chose Boeing? so that pilots stays as pilots and to have more plane diversity in malaysia. AK with its buses and MAS with its boing boing... or else... everytime go spotting, we'll get tired of seeing a320. that one take off, a320. this one landing a320. that red one taxiing, a320. that blue red one pushback, a320. boring maaa.... hehehe.. silly answer..

    I stumbled upon this quite long time ago. thought to share but if it's already mentioned before, sorry lah... Those without Google Earth can try Google Map...

     

    Noticed something odd in the middle of the pic?

    The location is in Georgetown. To the north is Gurney Plaza and to the west is the 1-Stop Midland Park/Berjaya G'town hotel.

     

    To 'fly' yourself there, here's the coord: 5.4346, 100.3105

     

    Is it a TG (Airbus) departed PEN to BKK or a 737 to LGK?...

     

     

     

    Anybody who found something like this in google earth/google map, pls share. love to 'fly to the surprises' ;)

    Yes, crows are smart. I'm told they can improvise and build nests out of discarded wires and cables.

    Yup. smart they are. saw in Animal Planet (or was it Nat Geo?), crows make a tool of a twig which they break to resemble a hook, to fish out grub/caterpillar out of its hole in a tree branch. how smart is that... and they also love bright objects and picking up burning cigarette butt since the amber attracts them (in TNT case, the rusting metals) and bring it back to their nests and unluckily caused a forest fire... smart but stupid pulak... heheheee...

    - Firefly may no longer be unique to PEN anymore... but may opt for multiple hub: PEN for what it is now. for RAS, set another say KCH or where ever... hopefully..

     

    - I seconded what you're saying Kapitan. Sorry to say,our govt is a wimp when comes to Tony, as well as in most cases... too bad.. :(

     

    - Firefly may not be so competitive as it was going to be since RAS might holding it down in terms of profit... sad..

     

    - Hope to see Firefly survive this turmoil in the long term, which what i am seeing now, it tends to become a 'mati tak mau mati' (direct translation: want to die, dont want to die) business. only time, strategy and LUCK (yes) will tell... so sad..

     

    - When things involved politics, everything could happened, and normally, unfavorable to most... i'm crying now..
