  1. Laaaa, I thought you mean the MAB Police! Good work, Ibrahim.

Was thinking the same too. some kind of police at the airport. thus the aero-polis, as in 'aero' and 'polis'. but forgot that 'polis' is 'police' in English.. hihihi..... Aeropolis, as in Megapolis (or is it Megalopolis?)

Superb plan. 2 MTBs, 4 Sats, 5 rwys. Amazing... but when can we see our beloved KLIA be full of airplanes, with current situation...? :unknw:

  2. Yes all these routes are profitable indeed but in the absence of a strong Alliance i.e. Star or OneWorld or Skyteam Alliances MAS would find it difficult to improve connectivity and feed from other

carriers. Meanwhile, they have to rely on codeshare which is part of their hub and spoke strategy. I bet the management knows what they are doing!

    So give MAS a break!

I second that!... They must've know what they are doing... We can't compare MH to those of big brothers... Yup. Comparing is one of a way to improve. But our MAS had it's downfall. Mismanagement, "daylight robbers", etc. Thus lacking in widebodies equipment, alliances and coalations, etc. So, in order to recover from a terrible tumble, one (the mgmt) might think of a drastic move for that. Relies only on what you have. Not what to impress. So far, IJ had managed to pull out MH out of the turmoil. Congrats for that.

Regarding this 'drastic' move (to some, and me as well), I trust in MH. Eventhough it might seem like 'turning down a delicious dish', it may be because the 'delicacies' require MAS to spend something that might better be spent on others (hopefully).

So, I would give MAS a break. Let them decide. Nobody wants to go into that deep, dark cave, right? We see how they are doing.

  3. My Parents Departs to JED on the 6th.Dec . but they flew with Saudi Old 741...

    Nice Pictures..

    Pictures? Where?... :unknw:

Glad there is no big incident during this year's Hajj. Kudos to the Saudi Govt for improving facilities and upgrading infrastructures (esp the Jamrats). When are your folks coming back?

  4. You never know until you try...

Some may consider not to talk aloud. A lot might not prefer to watch porn with people sitting beside him/her. Would you? Not me :)

Everything is up to ones consideration and judgement. Besides, we have FA's to keep us reminded. :pardon:

Airborne Internet activities -- such as hacking and piracy -- could raise new questions about which country's laws apply.
This is interesting. I think the law applied should be of the country/state (since US states have laws differs from each other) which the airplane headed to, even in the case of the flight is diverted. It should be of the new diverted country/state. Just my 2 cent.

  5. Just an illusion. since the gears are not too far apart, when on certain position, you'll see as if 2 tyres bogie, because the size of both tyres are almost the same. I was fooled for a .5 seconds too when looking at it :p

Nice livery, though the red color at the 'AirAsia' could be more elaborate.

  6. Ya. lights are flashing and the camera moved like a windscreen wiper on a bumpy road. left, right, left, right, aiyahh! pening! pening! [dizzy!]

But why i didnt see any passenger sliding down the airplane? still taking leisure time unbuckling the seatbelts, knowing that the aircraft wouldnt go 'fireworks'? where's the 2 minutes (or was it 90secs) evac rule? :unknw:

  7. Thanks a lot capt Nik for a very informative insight of the Hajj (or was it Hadj? whatever lah...) operation :good:

never imagine the extent labor taken by MAS charter during the Hajj time.

My parent and brother went for Hajj in 1997 from PEN. and was onboard the 747 - unsure which variant - with the white scheme and Tabung Haji tail. good reminiscence, this thread :)

    keep up!

Maarof, semoga mendapat Haji yang Mambur... insyaallah.

BTW, any news on PEN-origin and PEN-bound flights, capt?

  8. Ahem ... many many moons ago when I was a young man working in northern Germany, I 'inadvertently' entered an adult theatre and found the chairs were all airplane seats. Very comfy. :)

    Inadvertently huh?... a very well-planned excuse, i see :D

I used to be 'lured' to enter 'panggung mini' [mini theatre] showing 4 stars adult movies back during the secondary school days. :D :D

Back to the story, another lucky incident that no casualties reported. thank god.

  9. You shouldn't have bothered listening to those people anyway. A complete waste of time.

I second that. I dont even give a damn. UMNO meeting? dont even know when. but just one thing caught my attention, and only told by a friend of mine: Fuel scheme to be reconsider. Those who have rides with big cc better watch out... i somewhat agreed to this. why subsidies more on those drive a 2.4 or 3.0 while the other fellow only rides a 110cc Kriss with only a penny to spend on food? 'aight?

  10. Agree there, guys: it's ugly looking (IMHO, especially the nose-part and wheel), but it IS comfortable from the passenger's point of view...just wait-n-see ;)

    Like the cockpit-design too... :good:

Comfortable for me, yes, for sure. not to have to worry for any propeller blades that might cut through the fuselage and cutting my body parts during landing... :p
