BUCKINGHAM PALACE: The Duke of York this evening arrived in Kuala Lumpur and was received by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia (His Excellency Mr. Simon Featherstone).Mrs. Amanda Thirsk and Squadron Leader Charlotte Fenn RAF are in attendance.
Anyone got the royal fleet and the reception?
KUL or SZB?
-
Wow! 748 has come to Malaysia! Where to spot at KUL these days?
-
These days when I waited at SZB I don't see interesting traffic. When I'm not there, RBA comes. I have been waiting for an RBA to taxi by so many times lately, but I never got! <_>

Sounds hopeful indeed. Hope all survived.

Another design flaw be Boeing .......
The two blue knobs as seen in the Airliners.net photo?
-
Ooh, outrageous!

Company, what company, TZY ?
Haha... Uncle Pieter, this you hv to talk to the captain himself... :-P Apparently, his first trip there was because of the MD-11; his second trip, question mark... :-P
CB, tu hablas español ahora?
-
Anjung Tinjau is a nice spot, but am wondering if it is the only safe spot for spotting now? I kinda miss those old spots we used to go like Oscar Hotel, but I understand this place without having to talk to the police is long gone...
-
Nice, CB! Spotting in SudAm is definitely nice especially when you hv company!

where's the http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/wilson88/PEN%20Spotting/P1020777s800.jpg any guide to find this place?
This place is easy to find. If you take the Coastal Highway, follow signs to airport cargo entrance. But instead of heading straight down to the cargo entrance, take the last right turn (it's definitely "right" unless you're coming out of the cargo center) before the cargo entrance (I think that's about 100 to 200 meters before the entrance). Head down that road after the turn and pay attention to the left; you'll find this spot after about half a km. Hope that's clear enough.

It surprises me to hear that the pilot has been found guilty of this trespass ... personally, I never thought the authorities would really enforce these rules.
It's good to tell the world that "I do my job" from time to time...
-
Funny thing is, for a professional company, they did the most un-professional thing of using an image taken out of FS9 on their header!
It's probably the easiest way to get the angle of shot you want... That's why, maybe...

The 734 are not too old to be considered unsafe I believe...
By the way, every maintenance has its share of incidents... MH maintenance crew friends I don't have, but I have heard a fair amount of stories passengers don't want to hear from an SIA Engineering friend of mine... Both airlines still maintain pretty good record anyway... :-)
-
I like the 734... I flew with it two months ago and it was a smooth flight... I felt safe! ;-)
-
A little offtopic but related nonetheless - wasn't MH nearly banned from LHR because its flights were almost always left with 4-5 tonnes of fuel, a few years back?
I remember this...
-
Adverse weather comes in various degrees, so perhaps the degree of adversity had not been expected... I think low fuel happens quite frequent; the pilots in the forum can shed light if this statement is true...
Interesting piece of news... :-)
-
Pretty invasive if true, isn't it... But then there are lots of professions where you can legally have someone strip off...
-
Lots of windows shaded. Thought shades must be opened during takeoff and landing
There are always many naughty passengers onboard...
-
Gosh... RIP to the pilot...
Does anyone know if he was here in KL/LIMA in 2007?
Still remember hearing Red Arrows was performing at Salford Quay while in Manchester in 2009... Seems like they like to perform around waterfront...
-
Missed it again! Anymore training here?
-
Well, yes, I do... Most of us do! :-D
-
Wonder what a new tagline would look like -
service so special it will blow the competition away ?
we do not compromise to make you feel special ?
Rubbing my palms in anticipation of the service that only pilots used to receive, once only passengers could dream of...

Imagine you're John, you call that employee whose special photo above you've seen into your office, looking at her face you say "you're fired"...
I know this is kinda a lame talk, but... I can't imagine what that is like, having to issue a press release to vindicate your company (image) afterwards... :-P
I still wanna fly CX anyway... :-D

Following checks the aircraft was able to perform its return flight KE-702 normally reaching Seoul with a delay of one hour.
That's quick...

Yeah, shame and strange.
