Had a short spotting weekend in VTBS. Weather kept changing from time to time and so did the landing runways keep switching between them. Missed a hell lot of targets that I wished I could have snapped. Covered 4 different spotting locations and a few to share first.
At 6.47am from the balcony of the hotel room. Light wasn't out though and this was the first and last shot I had for the whole morning no thanks to landing switched to 19L after this QR landed.
Trees have grown pretty tall...
A few more in the next post..Cheers!

Just a little OT, Uber was launched in LGK a few days back. Probably a better option to move around besides haggling with taxi drivers if you do not intend to rent a vehicle.

Nice catches, Ramani - and this time, Chaity did the honours for you.
Are you sure MWH is not here for maintenance?
Thanks flee. Lucky me I had Chaity's blessings for the second half of the day!
MWH was towed from somewhere to the compass swing bay, did a 5 minute run up, and towed out again. I was just presuming that it is also due for storage and not post maintenance.

Some shots from today. It started with a gloomy morning and ended up being a perfect afternoon onwards..
The only reason to go and spot on gloomy morning is when you get specials...

THE SEARCH HAS BEEN SUSPENDED
Today the last search vessel has left the underwater search area. Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has not been located in the 120,000 square-kilometre underwater search area in the southern Indian Ocean.
Despite every effort using the best science available, cutting edge technology, as well as modelling and advice from highly skilled professionals who are the best in their field, unfortunately, the search has not been able to locate the aircraft.
Accordingly, the underwater search for MH370 has been suspended.
The decision to suspend the underwater search has not been taken lightly nor without sadness. It is consistent with decisions made by our three countries in the July 2016 Ministerial Tripartite meeting in Putrajaya Malaysia.
Whilst combined scientific studies have continued to refine areas of probability, to date no new information has been discovered to determine the specific location of the aircraft.
We have been overwhelmed by the commitment and dedication shown by the hundreds of people involved in the search, which has been an unprecedented challenge. Their tireless work has continued to improve our knowledge of the search area and has been critical in our efforts to locate the aircraft. We would like to reiterate our utmost appreciation to the many nations that have provided expertise and assistance since the early days of this unfortunate tragedy.
Todays announcement is significant for our three countries, but more importantly for the family and friends of those on board the aircraft. We again take this opportunity to honour the memory of those who have lost their lives and acknowledge the enormous loss felt by their loved ones.
We remain hopeful that new information will come to light and that at some point in the future the aircraft will be located.

http://news.sky.com/story/libyan-afriqiyah-airways-flight-hijacked-and-taken-to-malta-10705819
An Afriqiyah Airways flight has landed in Malta after apparently being hijacked.
The Libyan passenger aircraft, with 118 people onboard, was on an internal flight when it was diverted, according to reports.
The prime minister of Malta Joseph Muscat tweeted that he had been informed of a "potential hijack situation" involving an internal Libyan flight diverted to Malta.
Malta airport says the plane from Libya has landed and it appears two hijackers are on board.

Nice shots. Pardon my ignorance but is there any way I can tell a A320 Neo just by physical appearance? Any distinguishing features?
Just look at the trailing edge of the reverser cowls at the 6 o'clock position. Unique to the NEOs (both PW & CFM engines).

Saw a wedgetail RAF plane (presumably E-7A) landing into PEN late today evening.

QR A7-BCM diverted to PEN en route to HKT. Pic is from a friend btw.

IPC (Ikram Premier Consulting) was tasked to probe this issue way back even before KLIA2 started operations. I read the report and unfortunately this was never made public. There were stats of how fast the depression is happening and which areas are affected.
Lots of equipment & vehicles have suffered tremendous damage throughout AK's ops in KLIA2 - even Malindo has had incidents. At the end of the day, who cares if not the airline themselves?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Final installment of my BKK spotting trip as follows..
Bulgaria Air operating on behalf of Bangkok Airways
Amazing to see how CX, BR and CI actually treats BKK as their hub with flights to and from BKK to the ROW.
Dubbed the Flying Bags - "Flying Bags special scheme. Thousands photos of bags from travelers around the world sent to the airlines to be painted on the fuselage to celebrate Bangkok Airways' 45th anniversary"
Jet Airways rebranded it's Jet Lite with Jet Konnect
Got to be lucky to catch her in KUL in bright daylight..
How I wish it was still in its retro livery..
Cheers and thanks for your time!
