Bad maintenance of aircraft has resulted in such tragedy, if the locals have no such talent, they should probably employ the outsources to help them.
Working with Indonesians in the aviation industry and I seriously don't think that it's the talent that is the problem. Most of the time it boils down again back to the airline. It's always the spares, tools, equipments, spares pool and many other cost related factors that cause them the big chunk of their operations cost. If it is again maintenance, why does the DGCA of Indonesia let them go during the audits?

07/05/11. I know everyone's attention is at the SZB thread lah ( ) but someone still have to cover the movements in KUL right? Weather was terribly good the whole morning.
Day started off with this D7 bird, 9M-XAC struggling to rotate. Had to peep in between two trees.
This is 9M-MXD flying as MH366 to TPE. Your commander of this flight is Capt Radzi. TQ Capt for the pretty late rotation!
Kota Bharu folk going to LHR as MH4 - 9M-MPF. Blink blink nose shot. LOL!
Arrived from MEL in the morning and heading back to DXB. A6-EBE
And well, finally a proper shot of 9M-MTA for me. Delayed for over an hour to BNE.
HL7462 with a partial body shot.
And finally, a resident visitor in KUL nowadays. Again for probably my 7th or 8th time getting this bird. A9C-KB.
Cheers!

By the way , do you guys know how much the LAE get when they are undergoing their training ? hahaha .. If you compare that to this , then it won't be so shocking !
Seriously, it is a journey that never ends with that amount of $ for that many years.
-
Paging for Capt. Radzi yet again. Something to look forward to again! This time around, PK-GFN.

Seriously, WOW! It looks like some corporate jet livery without the 'WOW' and 'airasia.com'. Very nice indeed!
Too bad, these colours have already been discovered by the many airlines in China.
-
Really got the 'WOW' factor.
Any reason behind this livery? perhaps, WOW! Our fuel surcharge is back!
Some friend on FB mentioned about the WOW campaign. I got no idea either.

Nothing as interesting as in SZB, but yes something to look forward to.
PH-BVD.
9M-AFK in new paint. WOW indeed.
Sorry for quality as it was delayed over 40 minutes and I was already on my way back. Slam the brakes just to catch a glimpse of her.
Cheers!

Dear fans, please be informed that AirAsia will be reintroducing fuel surcharges beginning 3 May 2011 for all domestic and international routes. The reintroduction of fuel surcharge by AirAsia is to offset the escalating jet fuel, which has exceeded USD$140 per barrelThe rising jet fuel prices and the continuous upward spiral caused by the situation in the Middle East and other external factors, have made it imperative for us to reintroduce the fuel surcharge, despite our best efforts to resist it for as long as we could. We hope that this will only be a temporary measure, and AirAsia will continue to ensure our fares remain low despite the fuel surcharge, which is the lowest in the world. While other carriers were already adjusting fares and increasing fuel and admin charges to counter rising operating costs when jet fuel price went above USD$100 per barrel on 2 March this year, the strong growth of our ancillary income has helped us delay the implementation of fuel surcharge for as long as possible.
As the people’s airline, we insist on being transparent and decided to announce to our guests on the reintroduction of fuel surcharge. AirAsia remains committed to its low-cost model and will not transfer the full cost of the fuel price hike to its guests, choosing instead to counter the spike by aggressively growing revenue through ancillary products and services. Our recent partnership with Expedia, the world’s largest online travel agency and other initiatives currently in the pipeline will further increase our revenue from ancillary income.
All flight bookings made before May 3 will not be affected by the fuel surcharge. So book your flight now on AirAsia.com to avoid paying fuel surcharge from now till May 3!

A short half an hour in AT today. Had to rush like mad to get there and hoping for the a/c to take off early. Pardon the quality of these shots as I dont have a 2.8 lense and most of the shots were shot at ISO 500-640.
9M-FZA seen idling with the APU access doors open and MH maintenance staff doing some work. APU u/s? Common problem.

JA605J. Dedicated to the Japanese spotters in MW & Capt Masahiko.
Main reason I was there was to send off the Premier of China, Wen Jiabao. (like as if I am a VIP to send him off )
"Barisan Kehormat" (guard of honour) queuing up.
"4 engines good start. Cleared to disconnect and report on the left". Follow-me truck was already on standby waiting to guide the a/c for RWY32R take off.
Construction work in the background already in progress. Unfortunately I don't know which part of the new LCC Terminal are they building first.
Nose shot for the lovers and the nose taikos.
And finally, B-2472 leaves KUL as CA0006 carrying the Premier enroute for CGK. TQ for visiting Malaysia and we hope you had a great time here. See you again soon, sir!
The end.

Ramani, for 32R, are you shooting from the lakeside?
I'm scouting for new places for morning spotting; haven't found a suitable place yet.
Affirmative Capt. That seems to be the only place left for now.
-
Taken from TheStar. Hopefully someone gets its departure.
-
Your worst nightmare might just come back again.
@tonyfernandes Going through the numbets at airasia. Looking good. But may have to put in a fuel surcharge soon. We have done well. Almost 3 years without one. -
Nice shots guys. Anyways, Keith, 18-200???

Believe aerobridges used in KCH is when there are disabled pax on board or disabled pax leaving KCH.

Sharing again some shots from yesterday.
First to greet me that morning was 9M-MPO. Taking off when the sun was just about to make its way through the moving clouds.
This was shortly followed by this delayed TH 727, 9M-TGG. See the black smoke being exhausted by the engines.
Raj definitely brought quite a lot of luck. Seen here 9M-MXD taking off; latest of the owned 738 in MH's fleet.
The A340's ever notorious climb. 9M-XAB.
Was soon followed by 9M-MXC. Looks to me like MXA and MXB is based in BKI.
CX's flight to HKG was served by a normal B773 only. B-HNM.
9M-MPM bound for LHR.
And finally a bigger picture and a different angle of 9M-MTA. Hopefully I have the time to catch you on the 20th
Cheers & till we meet again some other time.

Was spotting with Raj this morning. We were awaiting for the much anticipated 9M-MTA's departure for a joyride around KL before coming back.
9M-MTA departed 1 hour later than the scheduled departure time. Believe must have been A11 take off and the early rotation didn't give us any luck.
But anyhow, Raj brought in quite some luck with this Gulf Air's F1 livery. A9C-KB
Right after that, we rushed to Anjung Tinjau to at least catch a proper glimpse of this new bird. But this was what happened. <_>
Exited RWY32L and taxied on taxiway Delta to MH hangar. No luck again! Anyways, looking forward to more pics from the guys who were in the aircraft.

3 months is nothing Uncle. One LCC also managed to pay out over 3 months of bonus to their staff.
