  1.

    Sorry thats not right!

I made the utilisation plan for every base.

For example Kuching departures in the morning for november:

    0600 0655 0720 0810 KCH BTU x x x x x x x

    0610 0735 0800 0925 KCH BKI x x x x x x x

    0700 0740 0805 0845 KCH SBW x x x x x x x

    0700 0755 0820 0910 KCH BTU x x x x x x x

    0710 0850 0915 1100 KCH KUL x x x x x x x

    And number 6:

    0700 0830 1415 1545 KCH SIN x x x x

    0800 0935 1520 1650 KCH SIN x x x

What happens is during festivities, school holidays, where extra flights are mounted, they add another aircraft to be based in those hubs. On top of that, some are operated as a triangular route which originates from either KUL or JHB. Otherwise the count that I gave is the exact one as of 2 days ago.

  8. https://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2017/aair/ao-2017-066/

    Updated: 23 August 2017

The ATSB is investigating an engine malfunction involving Airbus A300, registered 9M-XXE, near Carnarvon, Western Australia, on 25 June 2017.

The aircraft had earlier departed Perth, Western Australia bound for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While conducting a climb from flight level (FL) 380 to FL 400, [1] a fan blade on the number 1 engine failed resulting in engine damage and significant airframe vibration.

Interviews and analysis of recorded flight data, indicated that the flight crew conducted an in-flight engine shutdown and returned to Perth. The shutdown engine continued to rotate in the airflow, resulting in ongoing airframe vibration. The aircraft returned to Perth and landed safely.

The engine manufacturer found that a section of the fan blade separated at about one quarter of its length from the blade base. The blade section and associated engine debris were retained within the engine cowls. Examination of the retained fan blade section identified that the separation was likely due to metal fatigue that originated within the blades internal structure.

Investigation and analysis of the failure mode are on-going.

The findings of the engine manufacturer will be included in the ATSBs draft safety investigation report. The draft report will be provided to relevant parties for comment before the completion and release of the final report.

  9. http://m.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/transport-ministry-tells-malindo-to-settle-airport-tax-arrears

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 5 ― Putrajaya has directed Malindo Air to settle its RM70 million arrears in airport tax payments to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).

The Star reported that Malindo was issued the directive by the Transport Ministry to settle the monies owed as soon as possible.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said that there are some disputes regarding the calculations of the taxes owed.

However, this should not be a reason for the delay in paying up the dues, he reportedly said.

Malindo was recently criticised by Umno leaders and also by Malay rights group Perkasa for not settling its airport tax arrears.

The airline has also come under scrutiny over the fact that its current major shareholder is its CEO, Chandran Rama Muthy, and the stakes owned by Indonesian tycoon Rusdi Kirana, leading to claims that the airline is foreign owned.
