There were NO amenity kit...but slippers eye shade and ear plugs available upon request. What puzzled me was no dental sets were available even for an overnight flight...sad...
I believe amenities kit are ONLY available for flights exceeding 7 hours.

Malindo Air starting May 2016 is expanding Kuala Lumpur Johor Bahru flight options, as it plans to commence Kuala Lumpur KLIA Johor Bahru service.
This route will begin on 16MAY16, with 2 daily flights by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

They used to fly to JHB in 2013-2014, the service stopped after a while, and now they are restarting it again

There was a law suit filed against MAS because a stewardess spilled hot coffee on passengers lap. But that was years ago.
Flying on turkish airlines recently, they 'selamba' served hot beverages even the plane tumbling like a washing machine

What is happening with MH?? Their FB wall is flooded with complaints and complaints of flight cancellations, delay etc.
This does not do any good for MAB......

it is full with complaints
but.........demographically (ehemmmmm...not to point fingers to anyone), the tendency of complaining happened to be skewed to one ethnic / race.
most of the complaints are regarding refunds (I have no problem with my refunds, as long as detailed information is given), flight cancellations / delays (they inform me via sms and emails - as long as contact numbers are provided during booking and not doing booking via 3rd party website)
IMHO, before we bluntly write our complaints on their FB, do educate ourselves first. Yes, customers are always right but 'not so clever' customers errr........I rest my case

NO MORE INTERLINING LUGGAGE!!!
Guess what? Due to the EXCLUSIVE code share with EK, MH now does not allow luggage to be check through to last destination with other carriers!
I've just checked in at KCH...I would have to retrieve my luggage at KUL for my onwards connection to ICN on VN...
I find this such a hassle and a wrong move on the part of MH...hopefully OD picks up where MH has left off...kinda disappointed really!
are you sure it happened because of the MH-EK partnership? Did the check in agent tell you this?

Thanks for the tip. I will be checking my bags straight to OSL, and I will be arriving at IST at 5.00am local time. So hopefully I am able to skip the rush hour madness.

Arriving in the morning should be fine, go directly to the transfer lane....and straight to the airside again after clearing security.
