  1. I was watching TV3 on Tuesday and saw a news about new airline, FlyYeti a subsidiary or Air Arabia is about to make an attempt to launch a flight to KUL from KTM.

    And as I browsed through the page, I saw this:

    Destinations

    Our destination list includes:

    * Bangkok (Thailand)

    * Delhi (India)

    * Doha (Qatar)

    * Hong Kong

    * Kathmandu (Nepal)

    * Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

    * Sharjah (UAE)

    Any info about the schedule?

  2. thanks for the great explanation Sandeep.......now I know the exact procedure...I've always tought it would be similar to MH cadet pilot process..... :sorry: so Sandeep, in Singapore, all the psycho test>final interview > tea party > medical checkup all on the same day? hope I get this right this time

    SIA

    1st interview in KL > in Singapore : psycho test> final interview with 4-5 captains > tea party > medical checkup

    MAS

    Psychomotor -> Psychometric test -> interview -> medical checkup

    It will be held in 2 to 3 days depending on your performance.

    1st day

    Flight either KUL-SIN or PEN-SIN. Arrive SIN, and you'll be in the hotel (Paramount Hotel, that was during my time). Afternoon, to SIA training centre. Leave your passport at the guard house and they will give you security pass. Then your activity will start till evening.

    Night time...free and easy

    2nd day

    Back to STC, and several tests will be imposed on every candidates. After that, there will be an interview with panels (8-10 of them during my time including a psychologist (he hardly look at you, in fact he looked somewhere else). After interview, tea party.

    Night time...free and easy also

    3rd day

    Judgement day....they will call your hotel room (normally they will ask the candidates to gather in one room...and they will call to tell the result). Those who are selected, stay for medical check-ups. Those who are not, check-out and return to Malaysia.

    That's all I know based on my experience..

    Makan: Sendiri tanggung....

    Ticket: Just pay the tax only...

    Transportation: Arranged by SIA (to and from the training centre)

    Anything else?

    Hi all just attended shadowing day at waterside. Interesting was the new routes BA are doing feasibility studies on at present for start in 2009/2010. They are:

    LHR-ICN Starting with 3-4 x weekly and looking towards daily operation. Due to this becoming an emerging market.

    LHR-KUL To start with operating via SIN using current BA011/BA012 flight daily. This is due to improvement in Malaysia's economy.

    gud news huh?

  4. On the subject of Hajj and Charter Uniforms here's the superseded ones.

    With jacket on.

    On Board During Galley service. Different headscarves denotes rank

    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k229/nik...whajnewtdg1.jpg

    Essentially Charter uniforms but scarves are allowed if the girls want to wear them. On Hajj flights, scarves are mandatory.

    More on the new uniform later.....

    I like the uniform....sopan...

    I wonder is this what the Wanita UMNO wanted during the assembly last week!

  5. I think to answer to youre question ,most probably the flight originated from PEN-LGK-SZB-LGK-PEN.

    See also for the flight from KBR.Most probably its PEN-KBR-SZB-KBR-PEN.

    Please guys dont hantam me ,its just my 2 cents hypothesis.

    I agree with you azmir, PEN - KBR - SZB - KBR - PEN...this is the pattern after i looked at the online schedule, the plane arrive KBR from PEN at 0745H and depart to SZB at 0800H. Same goes with the opposite way.

  7. I think majority are not the so called frequent fliers!

    And given a chance to answer the questionnaire, of course the will say good because they can tapau the snackbox. For me, proper meal is the one they used to serve before.

    IJ's quoted in Malay daily Berita Harian, regarding response to snack box: "Hanya segelintir tidak berpuashati dan dalam soal ini, kami akan mengikut kehendak majoriti," katanya.

    Translation: "Only a small number of passengers were not satisfied and we will listen to the wishes of the majority"

    Questions: what was his definition of satisfied? How was this question posed to customer, in what context, what were the options available in the survey?

    It does sound suspicious and contradictory that if the response was so overwhelmingly good they are still undecided whether to implement it or not. Maybe it has already been decided upon, but this ongoing survey was just to pull wool over our eyes - trying to convince passengers that they are extra careful before implementing this 'best service' , benchmarked against the 'best airlines'.... revolting

  8. Today, 1 Nov 2007, a new World of Riches newsletter (for period 1 Nov 07 - 31 Jan 08) should have been uploaded in MH's website. But as always... even this puny IT matter can't be handled on time. MH has the WORST IT team among all airlines ever! I wonder whether the e-copy has reached our emails or not?

    just received their e-newsletter, not so many promotion available, but still ASEAN escapade sounds interesting! snackbox anyone? hahahahha..LOL
