  1. And my flight was cancelled yesterday after sitting in the plane for 6 hours due to the incident.

MH725 was supposed to leave KUL at 1750, we boarded the plane but we didn't go anywhere until near midnight when almost everyone demanded to disembark.

Anyway, MH ground team managed the issue (MH725) terribly. Manager on duty was nowhere to be seen, and only defensive MH ground staff were available to assist unhappy passengers.

Ironically, MH727 departed before midnight to CGK and we were told by the captain, defensive ground staff, and clueless cabin crews that all southern departure were put on hold.

I departed to CGK (MH713) 13 hours and 30 minutes after the original scheduled departure time.

The way MH managed delays and uncertain cases like this leaves a lot to be desired. Everyone (especially the ground staff) seems to be very defensive and they have no idea with whatever they are doing.

Hotel arrangements, flight replacements, took hours to be settled. Another series of nightmare with Malaysia Airlines after 7 hours delay (Air conditioning problem) in February.

  2. MH will move to Beijing Daxing airport next year, and they change the flight number too....

    Taken from MH website:

Malaysia Airlines Relocates its operations in Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX)

Malaysia Airlines will be moving its operations at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), effective 1 January 2020.

With the move, Malaysia Airlines will operate a daily flight to and from Daxing. The flight schedule will maintain the current timing as follows:

    • MH364 Kuala Lumpur 6.00pm – Daxing 12.20am (next day)
    • MH365 Daxing 1:30am – Kuala Lumpur 8.00am (same day)

Passengers with bookings for travel from 31 December 2019 to Beijing Capital will have their tickets reassigned to Beijing Daxing. For further information, passengers may contact Malaysia Airlines call center at 1 300 88 3000 (within Malaysia) and +603 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia).

  3. Did not know they flew to KUL in the past. Tech stop somewhere?

And hopefully they can sustain it. Since Etihad reduced their flights to KUL not much choice left for Malaysian living there to go back as Emirates (and Etihad) complex pricing often makes it cheaper to fly from somewhere else rather than their home base (AUH and DXB)

    IIRC, it was KUL-KTM-SHJ

  4. I'm wondering wondering if there has been a recent attempt to cut costs on certain flights... Or it's just really bad inconsistent service

Just flew on MH 125 KUL - PER, 5hr+ flight, noticed some things missing - No pillows, only headphone and blankets.

Drinks only served during meal service, no MH peanuts handed out, crew only handed out the brunch which was an option of Nasi Lemak or omelette. I had Nasi Lemak option which was ok. Tasted fine but no anchovy provided, no yogurt only bun and, fruit. My brother next to me had the other option. I won't call it an omelette. Looked like processed food? Looks like egg but was greenish and yellow grey maybe an attempt a fritata? It was bland no sausage, 1 piece looks like a chicken nugget and then some green peas.

Crew didn't bother to come out of the back after meal service to hand out cup of water unless you call the crew.

It's not like they ran out of water or juice. When I went to the back to use the lavatory, I asked for a cup of orange juice and I was handed one.

Is there a new don't care if not requested policy? Service is Malindo level

Maybe because of one pax with peanut allergy so they didn't serve peanuts?

  5. Never thought of this...

  6. Just to check with those who had flown economy on Tokyo to KL sector on MAS on the night flight and arriving KUL in the early morning. For the meals, you are only served one meal after take off. After that nothing.

Is this the sign of MH Cost cutting? Normally there would be a light snack just before landing?

I took this flight in early May, we were served meal (Japanese tray or western) after take-off and snack (onigiri) before landing.
