    i think it was in 1994 or is it 1995..the An-124 created a buzz among the KCH residents because all local papers during that time reported "a BIG aircraft will land in KCH" and locals was invited to visit the aircraft in the afternoon..maybe it was carrying something BIG to KCH but i forgot what was it about :sorry:

     

     

    Heheh, I got the chance to enter that big aircraft that time. After take off from Runaway 07, that big aircraft turn around and did a low fly pass to everybody at the airport

    Perdana Menteri Papua New Guinea Lawat Sarawak Mulai Esok

     

    KUCHING, 28 Julai (Bernama) -- Perdana Menteri Papua New Guinea Sir Michael Somare akan melakukan lawatan kerja tiga hari ke Sarawak mulai esok.

     

    Jabatan Penerangan Sarawak berkata Sir Michael bersama delegasi seramai 25 orang terdiri daripada menteri Kabinet, gabenor wilayah dan pegawa-pegawai kerajaan negara itu dijadual tiba ke Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuching (KIA) pagi esok.

     

    Pada sebelah petang pula, Sir Michael bersama delegasinya akan dibawa melawat Pameran Pembangunan di Stadium Perpaduan.

     

    "Ketua Menteri Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud akan menerima kunjungan hormat Perdana Menteri Papua New Guinea pada sebelah malam, diikuti majlis menandatangani memorandum persefahaman (MoU) antara Independent Public Business Corporation dan Lembaga Pembangunan dan Lindungan Tanah (Pelita)," katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

     

    Kenyataan itu berkata pada Rabu Sir Michael akan menghadiri taklimat khas pembangunan negeri Sarawak di Wisma Bapa Malaysia dan pada sebelah petang akan melawat kawasan perindustrian serta pelabuhan di Sejingkat dan kawasan perumahan kos rendah di Demak Laut.

     

    Sir Michael dan delegasi dijangka belepas pulang pada pagi 31 Julai.

    Wah..now KCH already have it's own paranormal spotter..haha

     

    Nizam.when did you took the photo of the Canadair Challenger? Suddenly so many bizjet visiting KCH? :o

     

     

    Last Sunday around 6 PM ..

     

    Nizam... mana D300?

    i like to hear that words :D :D ..since i study at KCH for 3 years and i can speak bit like sarawakian..people/my friends also say same thing to me also..but now i really miss KCH/KIA very much :( ..i came with the airport under construction and i left sarawak with new airport..amazing to see before and after expansion of main terminal building..

     

    Today, nobody will call u gila if we watch the aircraft take off/land ..

    Because there are a lot peoples do the same thing ..

     

    But, they are so curious when see the people standing at the Arena roof to take a photo .. :rolleyes:

    Does anyone know the registrations of the three DHC-4 Caribous that are visible from the terminal on the other side?

     

    No idea about this, maybe Iggy and LeeTz could provide the info ..
