  1. Look out for big surprise at air show

    The Straits Times

THE aerial display at next week's Singapore Airshow, a perennial crowd-puller, will be the biggest yet, in more ways than one.

For one thing, the B-52 Stratofortress, the United States Air Force's (USAF's) largest bomber, is slated to make a surprise appearance.

For another, the aerial display will last two hours, longer than the usual 90-minute show.

  2. Li Ren,

From Changi Airport MRT, you'll have direct access to Changi Airport T2 and T3, just an escalator away and follow the signboard.

I believe that the SA2010 organisers will also put up signboards showing the way to the bus queue area. Don't worry, you'll not get lost.

    Ashmil Abd Ghani,

    That's the arab way.

Don't worry you'll be able to get into the exhibition halls here in Singapore, you're in the asian hospitality area. :good:

    Cheers.

  3. Engine had problem on A400M maiden flight: report

    BERLIN

    Sat Jan 23, 2010 5:15am EST

BERLIN (Reuters) - The Airbus A400M had an engine problem on its maiden flight last month, German magazine Spiegel said in an article on Saturday, citing documents from engine maker Europrop.

The magazine said documents showed a steering computer and a backup system failed after 30 minutes of flight, causing the engine to be automatically disengaged. An Airbus spokeswoman quoted in the article said the problem has since been fixed.

The A400M's maiden flight on December 11 was two years behind schedule following delays in engine development and other snags that manufacturers blame partly on political interference.

We should be seeing from the USAF:

    C-17 demo

    F-15E static

    C-130J demo and static

    KC-135 static

Bummer about the absence of the F-22. The usual disclaimers about aircraft appearance being subject to operational requirements etc, etc apply. Source is the horse's mouth.

Nothing about PACAF F-15s and F-16s but I expect them to show given the Kadena and Misawa birds have been at every show since 1990.
