@tweeting787
@CharlesRyanTeo No there wasn't, as I'm not the 1st Dreamliner to set her wheels on Changi's tarmac. I will get the salute in KL tomorrow!
Water canon salute tomorrow at KL?

I booked precisely same route/flight number one week earlier. Yes it is okay to proceed with this transit time as it is 1) a legal connection as defined by their systems 2) a protected itinerary, as it is one ticket anyway. In ALL likelihood, if you look at the flight timings, the plane that will operate your BI872 will be the same one that operates your BI825.
Suzanne and BC Tam, thanks for advise. I was think they will operate same aircraft for BI872 and BI825.

363.00 MYR Total price for all travellers
Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Seri Begawan Saturday, November 16, 2013 12:20 - 14:40
Bandar Seri Begawan to Kota Kinabalu Saturday, November 16, 2013 16:25 - 17:05
Airline(s): Royal Brunei
Planning for booking KUL/BWN/BKI via B787 on this date. Just scared if 1st flight delayed, so is it ok to proceed with only transit time 1 hour 45 minutes?
-
KUL-BWN-KUL is RM453 (incl tax)
Yup and RM480 (incl tax) in certain date on Sunday. Both return equipment via B787.
BKI/BWN/BKI at RM251 and RM461 (incl tax)
-
At the moment KUL/BWN/KUL return fares much more cheaper rather than BKI/BWN/BKI.
-
Just tried dummy booking for MH Enrich redemption for return trip KUL/HKG (First Class) and HKG/KUL (Business Class) via A380.
1. If full miles redemption it's quoted per pax 68250 miles + MYR650 (surchages & taxes) = Total to be paid 68250 miles + MYR650
2. If cash + miles redemption (consider 34000 miles used) it's quoted per pax 34000 miles + MYR2398 (flight price) + MYR650 (surchages & taxes) = Total to be paid 34000 miles + MYR3048Tried if purchase normal booking same route and class it's quoted per pax Total Air Fare: MYR4699
So which one better?

TAM Airlines to join oneworld on 31 March 2014
TAM Airlines, a company related to LATAM Airlines Group, will join oneworld®
with effect from 31 March 2014, adding the leading carrier in Brazil –
Latin America's biggest economy and largest market for air travel demand
– to the world's leading quality global airline alliance.
Confirmation today of its oneworldjoining date comes on the same day that LAN Colombia – which is, like
TAM, a company related to LATAM Airlines Group - becomes part of oneworld, offering the alliance's full range of services and benefits, from the start of operations this morning.
The addition of TAM from 31 March 2014 and LAN Colombia today will mean
all passenger airlines in LATAM Airlines Group, Latin America's leading
airline group, will be part of oneworld, the world's leading quality airline alliance. LAN Airlines has been a full member of oneworld
since 2000. All its other passenger airline affiliates have
subsequently joined the alliance as affiliate members – LAN Argentina,
LAN Ecuador, LAN Peru and, from today, LAN Colombia - and now TAM from
31 March and with its Paraguayan affiliate to follow on a date yet to be
confirmed.
This consolidates oneworld'sposition as the leading alliance for flights within Latin America and
between the region and both the United States and Europe - the two most
popular destinations for South American international travellers.
TAM's entry into oneworldwith effect from the first flights on 31 March 2014 will follow
immediately upon its exit from the Star Alliance with effect from the
final flights on 30 March 2014.
The airline and oneworld are taking every effort to ensure that the alliance transition is as seamless as possible for customers.TAM underlined today that all members of its Fidelidade frequent flyer
programme will maintain all points earned and their respective tier
status, according to the applicable conditions of the programme. A
thorough communications plan is being developed to brief them in detail
on all the benefits and privileges they will receive as part of oneworld from 31 March – including the ability to earn and redeem points on any of the alliance's member airlines.
These include leading brands from each global region. Besides LAN,
they feature American Airlines from North America; airberlin, British
Airways, Finnair, Iberia and Russia's S7 Airlines from Europe; Royal
Jordanian, from the Middle East; Asia-Pacific's Cathay Pacific Airways,
Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Qantas; and some 30 affiliated
airlines with other recruits also lining up to join in the months ahead.
The 140 million members of these established oneworldairlines' frequent flyer programmes will also be able to earn and
redeem awards and tier status points and receive all other oneworld privileges on TAM Airlines from 31 March – and on LAN Colombia from today.
As it becomes part of the group on 31 March 2014, TAM's network will be covered by oneworld's range of alliance fares – the most extensive offered by any of the global alliances, including the market-leading oneworld Explorer round-the-world fare and its Visit South America pass.TAM serves 60 destinations in 16 countries in Latin America, the USA
and Europe, with a fleet of 161 aircraft operating 800 departures daily.
It boarded 38 million passengers in 2012.
Since its launch in December 2011, LAN Colombia has quickly established
itself as the second biggest airline in South America's second largest
economy. In total, it serves 24 airports in four countries with a fleet
of 24 aircraft operating 130 departures a day. It boarded 3.7 million
passengers in 2012.
Four of oneworld'sestablished members – American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and
LAN – currently serve a total of seven destinations in Brazil. TAM will
expand the alliance's coverage of Brazil, one of the world's most
rapidly developing economies, to 42 destinations.
Across South America, oneworld'sestablished member airlines already serve 71 destinations in 11
countries. TAM and LAN Colombia add another 56 airports in the region
to that network, giving oneworld one of the most extensive alliance networks serving the continent.
Worldwide, with TAM, LAN Colombia and the other airlines lining up to join, oneworld will:- Serve almost a thousand airports in more than 150 countries, with 14,000 daily departures.
- Carry 480 million passengers a year on a combined fleet of more than 3,200 aircraft.
- Generate US$ 140 billion annual revenues.
The addition of TAM from 31 March and LAN Colombia today represents a cornerstone of oneworld's biggest membership expansion yet. Other elements elsewhere in the world include:
- The addition of Malaysia Airlines, one of this industry's most frequent award winners, eight months ago, further strengthening oneworld's position in South East Asia, one of the fastest growing regions for air travel demand.
-
The induction on 30 October 2013 of Qatar Airways, the only one of the
"Gulf Big Three" carriers slated to join any of the global airline
alliances and one of the world's fastest growing and most highly rated
airlines. This will make oneworld the leading alliance in the Middle East, one of the world's fastest growing regions for air travel demand.
-
The introduction early next year of SriLankan Airlines, as the first
airline from the Indian subcontinent to join any global alliance, which,
with Qatar Airways, will make oneworld the leading alliance in the region.
In addition, US Airways proposes to switch from Star to oneworld as part of its planned merger with American Airlines, subject to necessary approvals.oneworld'sCEO Bruce Ashby said: "As the leading airline in Latin America's
biggest economy, Brazil, TAM's addition represents a significant
landmark in oneworld's journey to establish itself as
the first choice airline alliance for frequent international travellers
the world over. We look forward to welcoming TAM and its customers on
board the world's premier global airline alliance with effect from 31
March next year."
TAM Airlines' CEO ClaudiaSender added: "We want to introduce Brazil to our new partners and
welcome them into our country. In the coming months, we will continue
working to ensure a smooth transition for everyone. We also want our
passengers to learn about the benefits, connections and products offered
by oneworld so they can travel the world with us."

Enrich by Malaysia AirlinesPassages or Esteemed Traveller?
On 30 September 1987, Malaysian Airline System introduced the Esteemed Traveller frequent-flyer program. In the early 1990s, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways International and Singapore Airlines
launched their joint Asian frequent-flyer program: Passages. The joint
program was officially dissolved in 1999, and the Enrich frequent-flyer
program made its debut after the split from Passages.
Enhanced Enrich
On 12 July 2006, Malaysia Airlines introduced its enhanced Enrich
frequent-flyer program. The program is now known as Enrich by Malaysia Airlines (Enrich).

Found something new, LGK and PEN will be having "bi-airport" options; OD is giving flying in and out from KLIA to those two destinations as well apart from Skypark....
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysian hybrid airline, Malindo Air, plans to strengthen its domestic network.
Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy said the airline will
increase daily flights to Penang and Langkawi, effective today, from the
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), in addition to those from
Subang.
"We are also offering 50,000 one-way tickets for all domestic flights at
RM50, including the KLIA-Penang/Langkawi route, to celebrate the fifth
successful month since inception," he said in a statement.
The booking period for the promotion is Aug 11-17, with the travel period being Aug 20, 2013 to May 31, 2014.
The airline will also enhance its international network with theintroduction of a daily flight to and from Dhaka, Bangladesh, effective
Aug 28, from the KLIA.
The Dhaka flight will be followed by that to New Delhi, India, around September or October this year.
Chandran said Malindo Air plans to further increase travel ease and the
fluidity of flight connectivity for foreigners, as KLIA is a renowned
transit hub in Asia.
Malindo Air, the first airline to use the brand new B737-900ER in
Malaysia, aims to have 100 aircraft over the next decade, while offering
customers competitive low fares, on-time flights and excellent customer
service.

Malindo Air says Twitter account hacked
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Malaysian hybrid airline Malindo Air confirmed today that its Twitter account had been hacked after several insulting tweets were issued from its @Malindo_Air profile this morning.
Among the tweets issued from the budget carrier’s micro-blogging platform to a Twitter user were “not our job to force feed you with information, news of our web check in has been on the web and media, tak nampak ke? (Dont you see it?)”, and to another Twitter user, “I think I would trust you better with cakes than computers”.
“The management has been alerted. If there’s anything, they’ll update in the Facebook and Twitter account,” a Malindo Air representative told the Malay Mail Online today, confirming the hack.
Malindo Air, which is a joint venture between Indonesian airline Lion Air and Malaysia’s National Aerospace and Defence Industries, apologised for the hack on Twitter.
“Malindo Air apologise (sic) for any inconvenience caused. We are in the midst of rectifying the root of the situation. Thank you,” Malindo Air tweeted.
“Dear All, our twitter account has been hacked. Please do not entertain the hacker. We will get to the bottom of this problem. Thank you,” added the airline, which is based in Kuala Lumpur.
The apology was also carried on the budget airline’s Facebook page.
The offending tweets have since been deleted.
According to Indonesian English-language newspaper Jakarta Globe, Malindo Air launched its first route last March, between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.
National news agency Bernama also reported Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Muthy as saying last August that the budget airline was in the final stages of getting approval from India to operate flights to various destinations in the country, such as New Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi.
AirAsia X, another local budget airline, axed their New Delhi and Mumbai routes last year due to high operating costs.
