As MH is going through some changes and restructuring, I hope it will come up with a productive yet benefitial plan to make it more profitable and escape from the issues it is facing at present. So as it may create a stir with its new plans, I would like to invite suggestions on what are the changes each of you think is possible when MH comes up with its new plan on Feb 15th 2006 ?
Anyone with any hopes and wishes for the changes yet to be made ?
I'm suggesting that all domestic route with multiple flight a day should be replaced with ERJ-175 or 195. It's more economical and fuel efficient.
Bigger plane like A330 or 777 should take the domestic route which always full or sold out. a full fuel tank of 777 or A330 could fly the domestic route multiple time without refill.
I don't know, this is what i think, might be not gonna work.

hello everyone, don't know if this topic already up.
Just want to know, why either one of the Hibiscus (9M-MPD & MPB) did not operate the US route like KUL-TPE-LAX or KUL-Stockholm-NWK. Is it because of the seating configuration.

hey seth, it's not easy to catch one but I know how. When I fly on 764, two weeks before the flight my itenary says 762, i guess they change it last minutes. I was surprised.
for CO, from IAH, 764 were used for route to Newark Liberty, Miami and some others I don't remember. For international route, it's normaly to route operated by 777, and 764 is as substitute if passengers exceed the limit of 762 but don't reach the max limit of 777. Normaly, 764 were used to AMS, CDG and some others. 764 mostly fly out from NWK like NWK-LAX, NWK-IAH. CO 764 also flies to Guam but I'm not sure from where. If i'm not mistaken, it also flies to Honolulu, maybe on Guam-Honolulu-LAX route.
It's muchg easier to catch DL 764 for domestic. DL operate it from ATL to JFK, Boston (Logan), las Vegas, LAX, Honolulu and more. For international, DL mostly operate it to FRA, CDG, Manchester, LHR and more. DL also use 764 as substitute to 777.
Try to ask for this route by calling CO or DL ticketing agent. ask about the number of pax that will be flying, normally 764 passengers almost double the number on 762. and easily just ask what type of plane will be used for this route. My suggestion, better fly on CO 764. I heard that CO is cleaner then DL. the 764 i went on is indeed clean and the service is awesome.

within the last 3 years, the best part is I flew a lot on 737-400 & -500, 747-400, 757-200 & -300 and 767-400 . But the worst part is I never flew on T7 .
My dad work in Africa and flew a lot on T7. he's been on all type of T7.
That SQ T7 belly could use some cleaning up. . back in Houston, Air France T7 is the one you'll see that need some clean up, maybe some "Clorox" are needed.

restoring them woun't be a bad idea. why not restore a 707 or a comet and place it somewhere in KLIA, like the park in front of the airport.

OK, it is Tioman. I didn't read the entire description.
My bad

Azahan, is that MH 747 with Tioman signature. If it is Tioman, I've flew on it to LAX somewhere in November 2003.
other 747 i've flew on is
Alor Setar
Kuantan
Langkawi
Putrajaya
Seremban (now hibiscus)

I do heard from some of my friend that MH want to join the Skyteam. But i didn't heard anything about it anymore. is this true?
I'm really hoping that MH and KL codeshare will continue. I also think that if the codeshare gone, it could leave some efect on Enrich.

sorry about wrong spelling above, I really want to mean is "first", not "firat".
Picture also not that a good quality, Don't have any good equipment, only Sony Cybershot 5.0 MegaPixel with 3X zoom and image size has been decrease. size posted is only 20% of it's original size. Seriously, you gonna need a bigger monitor to view the entire full size photo.

None thus far in Jan 2006 issue. Regarding the A380, I was hoping there will an article on its recent visit to KUL, but apparently none at all. I understand Singapore Airlines has it in their Silver Kris magazine. It would have been a good advertisment in advance of the planes entering the fleet. All we get from MH these days is bad news. Yesterday more price increases, including ticketing charges!I heard about the price increasing from my dad when he return from AMS last week. My dad now prefer to travel on CX for flight to LAX.
MAS should at least have some article about the A380 visit. There were an article about the A380 in Going Places January 2005. I see that SIA even have the e-mail notification by subcribing it from their website. You get the stories, pictures, and some stream link in your e-mail.

Nice shot there. I wonder why Thai using long haul A345 instead the regular A330 or 777.
That's an Incredible shot angle of MPD and MRD. I saw MPD at fly above putrajaya last Tuesday and saw MRD flew over my house last week, I'm not sure where it's heading to.

OK, so the A380 will be on it.

hey guys
If you don't mind I'm asking, will MAS put the diagram of 737-800 in Our Fleet page in Going Places Magazine?
I saw something interesting while I was on Continental flight. When browsing through the in-flight Magazine, I found that they put a picture of B787 in Continental color in the fleet information page. No detail info on the aircraft such as lenght, weight or others only some words which explains that CO bought them for their fleet. That was early

sure i could give some guide. Lee rd is good spot but you need a good zoom from that spot. The parking lot in front of Air France Cargo warehouse is a good spot at lee rd. You only get a good taxying view from here.
The best location is the rooftop of Terminal D parking lot. Every terminal has it's parking lot but terminal D is the tallest of all parking lot. Just drive up to the top. great view from up there and you can see all departure and arrival activity. this is one of the view you can get from the roof of parking lot. that's the view of terminal E.
The best location for arrival view is at Aldine Westfield Rd. To get there it's a bit complicated. From 1-45, you have to go into FM1960 east which means if you take I-45 toward Galveston, the FM1960 would be on your left. go into that road until you find i think it's the third traffic light (After McDonalds) turn into a road with a sign Aldine Westfield. after enter that road find a spot where there's many runway light pole (Orange color). Some spotter actually setup tent and picnic there. you can get a view like this
The best view for departure is at Rankin Rd. to get there, don't go to Rankin from Hardy toll rd because Rankin rd has been detatch to make way for the heavies runway. to get there, simply drive up Aldine Westfield and make a left turn. the road you drive on is paralel with the departure runway. drive up and u will see some oil tanks on your left. keep going until you see the first traffic light, at the traffic light, turn into Rankin Rd on your left. good departure view from the side. Rankin Rd is a dead end but don't park your car at the dead end because airport security department is there, I escape a chase once. Suggestion is that you park at the corner at a water tower. Most heavies can be seen from here.
Another good view of departure is from Greens Rd which is next to Hardy toll Rd. You can park at a Hotel there. This place is great for frontal view of departure. I prefer the Rankin Rd. Take a look at the map I upload.
area around IAH
Map of IAH
I hope this map may help. It's really helpful for me.
another place for approaching view is at Hong Kong market parking lot in FM1960. it's not that interesting but you get an amazing view of planes banking before landing. Or you can go to Petsmart parking lot at FM1960. It's barely on the left side of I-45. you see the planes cross over I-45 before final approach.
well, I hope this should help. ask me again if anything that's confusing. You can see some of my uploads at myaviation.net and type in Muhammad Azuddin at photographer search.
