    So damn lucky...all r 1st class luckiness...how do u tour the rwy edge?

     

     

    that one is confusing, i kinda hypnotize the airport security :D :D . not really, I found the road at IAH called Rankin RD. Actually it's a restricted area. when my friend and i got there, two security came by and see what we're doing. i just greet them in a friendly way, they let us through. i have one of the shot, i think i left it in a CD at Malacca. i try to post it by this week. it a photo of KLM 747 taking off. visit myaviation.net and type in my name (azuddin) at photographer search. i have some photos taken there.

     

    actually, the edge i mean is not completely at the side of the runway inside the airprt compund, it's outside but still within restricted parameters.

    That is post-911 or pre-911? So nice hv tour into airport summore, here we only get to eat the boots from the guards.

     

     

    it's post, the tour was last year. i seems to get lucky sometimes with CO, they took me for tour, cockpit visit and even spotting on IAH roof and IAH runway edge. the best part is, there's one time where i fly to IAH from LAX. my flight suppost to be at 1:00AM 14 January, 2005. they offer me if i want to go on their 6:00PM flight on 13 Jan since i arrive early. so i took the offer. there are only 10 people on 737-500. everyone got window seat. i took the whole row of three seat and make it into bed. unfortunately, everyone did it the same. :D :D

    Azuddin,

    Wow. Get that job bro, lots of benefits. U got 1st class shots of planes, u get to get lotsa of Continental collectors item regardless it's a galley sink or a continental china tea cups :p And best yet, u get to near the birds. I crave to get near them B)

     

     

    i get near CO bird once. I was taken for a tour at Houston Will P. Hobby Airport, there's a CO 737-500 in the hangar. too bad it' un expected so i don't bring camera.

    when the 737 came in from the sea, it does like SXM. I went to school not far from there, MRSM KT, like 15 minutes away.

    shortly after landed. i was from IAH, fly through LAX, TPE, KUL and end at TRG. going back to school after a week semester break. thanks to the ground crew for letting me went around the plane.

    Is the protest effect the train too, I was there that time, CDG-LAX, flew home a lil bit early cuz of the nasty protest.........not a good week to visit Effiel <_>

     

    After all, lucky to be on that kinda of flight, just a question, why would AF supply First class meal eventhough no one book it? Glad you enjoy the meal Azuddin, this rarely happen in AF :)

     

     

    the protest is bad even the train is down. i was only 2 day in paris, hate that time. about the meal, the AF says that they get over supply of meal for first class, seems that no one in first class. actually it's even lucky enough to escape. there should be a movie "Escape From Paris" :lol: :lol:

    Thou they need to put some more entertainment, like TV, computer(may be they already did), for small kid entertainment because most people travel with kid must be tired, and during transit time, the kids may get restless..........with some entertainment for the kids, it helps them a lot :)

     

     

    i'm very agree. the airport inside is very quiet, apart of people talking and announcement. need more entertainment, of course not loud rock or hip hop music, those aren't entertainment.

    Have you fly them lately ;)

     

     

    I got you :p , actually i fly on them last year. remember when the riot happen in paris, i was trying to escape. all train to Zurich has been cancel. the only way out of Paris is by air. I flew on AF, A320, only 6 people on board. since the first class was empty, we in the coach class got first class meals :D .

    Sad to heard that even in Business class..the food wasn't served from the tray but pre-packaged..:(

     

     

    I remember that. I like CX and AF meal, they serve them on tray with individual plates for each food. CX did it in Business class during my LAX-HKG flight. AF did it in Economy class during my CDG-ZHR flight. Continental did it in first class and give snack tray in coach class. Air India pack them in plastic container with aluminium foil cover, so the food stay hot, I have biryani two times on board Air India during JFK-LHR route, and have nan for breakfast :D .

    They got spring, so ur aircraft can jump around(if you watch soul plane, u understand ;) ), btw, u collect MAS plane only, mind share your whole collections, seems like you get lots of model lately :)

     

     

    the spring only let the gear to be pushed in. I watched Soul Plane. seems that the plane went through "Pimp My Ride" I mean, "Pimp My Flight" :D :D

     

    I do collect MAS but not only MAS, actually i mostly collect Continental. Sure i'll share my entire collection with you all. It seems to be not suitable to post them here in General Aviation, see the new topic i put up in Aviation Collectible, start by me. :) :)

    May be the crew would kindly email Azuddin 3.5 hours before their flight :D n tell his dad :rolleyes:

     

     

    Oh yeah, they could. by the time my dad is already at the golden lounge in satelite building. :D :D , he always, i mean always arrived at the airport like 4 to 5 hours before boarding. he's a spotter too.

    Overall, very good improvement. They need to put more entertainment at satelite building etc. thou, for transit passenger, don't you think so?

     

     

    I agree with that, satelite building seems so quiet. spotting are at setelite building would be good :D , do it like Frankfurt style.

    Yes, bro, CO operates 2 Boeing 767-400's from AMS: 1 flight to EWR and the other to IAH...

    Now that is what i'm talking about and it's one of my favourite CO plane and my favourite type of 767 series. You got one lucky day there Peiter. Normaly CO operate 764 to IAH and 762 sometimes 753 to EWR. that is rare, CO operate 2 764 out of AMS.

    I always took MH for KUL-LAX and LAX-KUL route. Last May, I've decided to try travel with CX. I say the service on CX is great. Now my whole family travel on CX whenever they going home to Houston. A few months later, the whole worker in ExxonMobil travel with CX after they heard about it from my dad. Now, ExxonMobil Houston put CX as first choice for traveling to Asia, it's aminly for worker who travel wth family. MH now only available on request and for one person travel, i heard it because of the fare.
