i have quite a number of shots to 23rd june. here are few more to share with all of you.

wow, you guys are first spotters to catch the 300ER. yup, the raked wing tips and the GE engines in the picture confirms its an ER. JL non ERs for both 200 and 300 are powered by Pratt.

good that first ever shot of JL 773er is very clear! that is cool!! wokey. enjoy penang. spotting a week after. i have to also check with buddy imran on his expected penang trip as well.

yes gavin,
the government will have absolute say. of course govt is sensitive towards the plight of MH and AK when it comes to losses. and it is in the interest of the govt to support both airlines. at the same time the govt also has the social obligation at national level. so it is not easy . i guess MH and AK will have to compromise somehow. then issues can be resolved.
by the way, govt still has one golden share in MH which means that MH should refer to govt for any major decision. for e.g....2 years ago, when MH managed to find the formula to restructure, it sought government blessings.

Very complicated issue. difficult to resolve. though possible, there should be certain degree of compromise btw MH, PMB, AK, MOF/MOT.
So....on a light-hearted note, here it goes:-
MH: We can let go some routes.
PMB: Suits me. May be somebody else can do a better and profitable job. Our objective is to reduce our outflow to cover MH's domestic losses.
MOF/MOT: Tony, wanna take some routes aaa...?
AK (Tony): Can sir but i would only fly to TGG once a day and KBR the most twice a day.
MOF/MOT: Well, we suggest you take all. If you want TGG, 3 or 4 flights a day must remain.
AK: But then we could incur losses.
MOF: Tony, unfortunately your idea may defeat Government objective. We'll see how we could assist to minimise the downside.
MH: Yeah whaat, we have been incurring losses also. So Tony, it cannot go the way you prefer all the time.
AK (Tony): But we are listed company. We have obligation to shareholders!
MH: So do we!
AK(Tony): Then if that is the case, gimme one of your 3 flights to LHR laaaa.
MH: WHAT????!!!!! Nonsense......we only talk here on domestic route. You are swaying away.....
MOF/MOT: Eh Tony.....are you making money?
AK (Tony): Yes.....
MOF/MOT: So shouldn't be much of an issue then. You take all domestic route which i am sure your cost is low. You could lower cost better than others. Yes, you would incur losses only on certain sectors. On consolidated basis, you still win with higher profit because we talk on volume here. ...more sectors.
AK (Tony): Yeah, possible.....but there is no guarantee..
MOF/MOT, MH, PMB: Wei Tony, where got certainty in business waaaaaaannnn???!!!!

well guys, just got back meeting up with our flight sim commander ...brader nizam. took him for a 5min ride on my 787. took off from armada hotel at 2200 and landed at restoran nasi kandar penang on the other side of federal highway. return flight at 0125.
2 fried maggi mee, 2 milo, 2 ice tea, 1 teh tarik, 1 teh tarik halia ('ginger'), 1 water......about 12 cigarettes.........
thanx nizam for footing the tab.our boss gavin too tired to join. and our dear imran k. having tea with his auntie instead.

anyway good idea for the new lounge. but i thot the existing lounge at the satelite is very big enough.

yeah...may be it is true on the dumping. and for sure traffic between sin- bangkok - tokyo warrants sq latest move. you may have jal and thai flying on those routes but still have room for others such as sq.
but the most precious route sq has been waiting for......sin - syd/mel - lax/sfo. they have been waiting for years to get the go ahead from aussie authorities. watch out kangaroo tail...
