Only facilities and retails at Main Terminal are shown. Something that get my attention:

    1) Capsule by Container Hotel - passenger have 3 options to stay within the vicinity now. The other two; Sama Sama Express at International Terminal and Tune Hotel nearby parking building.

    2) Parking Valet at Departure - its good for someone want to send their elderly or disabled companion. Shortest point to check-in desk.

    3) Thai Odyssey - this establishment will make a lots lots of money! If I have 5 hours of transit, I would definitely pick their 2-3 hours massage package.

    4) SPAD & JPJ Office - few days ago, SPAD warned taxi driver not to wait for passenger around the terminal building. Hope they implement this!

I hope to see a decent but functional and clean shower facilities at Transit Area. There are many backpackers and hajj passenger on transit. At KLIA, you only can use shower service at Sama Sama Express at RM30. Very expansive when you compared with Changi only $8.

  2. The revelation by an Al-Qaeda informer that he had met Malaysian terrorists over plans to hijack a plane has raised concerns on whether the plot is related to the lost of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

The informer, British-born Saajid Muhammad Badat (right) had made the claim in a New York court on Tuesday when testifying via video link in the trial of Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law, according to a report by the UK's Sunday Telegraph.

When testifying, Saajid said four to five Malaysian men had been planning to take control of a plane by using a bomb hidden in a shoe to blow up the cockpit door.

He added that he had met the Malaysians, one of which is a pilot, in Afghanistan and given them a shoe bomb for that purpose.

According to the report, Saajid said during the trial the men had raised a problem in their plan - that the cockpit door might he locked, to which he told the court: "So I said, how about I give you one of my bombs to open a cockpit door?"

He added that the Malaysian plot was being masterminded by one Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the principal architect of the September 11, 2011 attacks – involving the use of four commercial airplanes as weapons to attack tagets on US soil.

    'Long time in planning'

The report did not state when the meeting took place but is believed to be before Saajid's arrest in 2003.

The UK newspaper also quoted security experts as saying that the information was "credible".

“These spectaculars take a long time in the planning,” a British security source was quoted as saying.

The report indicated that a plane hijacking plan by Malaysian terrorists were in the works but provided no evidence where it would take place or whether it is related to Flight MH370.

MH370 which took off from Kuala Lumpur at 12.40am on March 7 and was due to arrive in Beijing at 6.30am vanished from civilian radar at 1.21am.

Military radar later picked up the aircraft off the west coast of peninsula Malaysia heading towards the Andaman waters.

Not a trace of the plane has been found as search and rescue operation entered the ninth day today.

    2001 shoe bomb plot

Saajid was part of a plot to blow up a plane with a shoe bomb in 2001 but withdrew at the last minute.

However, his co-conspirator Richard Reid (right) went ahead with the failed plan on American Airlines Flight 63 bound from Paris to Florida and was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Saajid was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2003 after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to destroy a US-bound aircraft.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE MikeSeberger said he read an article about DigitalGlobe's crowdsourced search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 and decided to help out. He said he saw this image very quickly after he started looking at sections of the map. "At first, I skipped past it, thinking, 'Nah. No way I would find anything THAT quickly,' he said. "But then I kept scrolling back to it and thinking to myself, 'It DOES resemble a plane.'"
He said he couldn't tell what section of the map he was looking at, but he flagged it so someone else could take a look. He didn't see anything else that looked unusual.
Seberger said he thinks it's unlikely that this image shows the missing plane and assumes that he proably saw a ship that was in the area.
You can read more about the search on CNN.com.

  4. China has deployed 10 high-resolution satellites to sweep and survey the South China Sea to find leads that could help locate the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, the Times of India reported.

Quoting the People's Liberation Army, the newspaper reported that China's Xi'an Satellite Monitor and Control Centre has launched an emergency response for the search and adjusted up to 10 high-resolution satellites to locate the missing plane.

  5. Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) is said to be in the preliminary stages of planning for another satellite building at the KL International Airport (KLIA).

The new satellite building will have more than 30 gates to cater for 25 million passengers. Initial estimates say it will cost nearly RM2bil.

The original plan for KLIA was to have four satellite buildings, each to cater for 25 million passengers, totalling 100 million passengers.

There may also be plans to dedicate one satellite building for the oneworld alliance members.
