  1. In addition to the operations in Malaysia and Thailand, the AirAsia X Group has an affiliate in Indonesia. However, Indonesia AirAsia X currently only operates two aircraft, has been struggling and is planning to suspend scheduled operations (for the second time). The group is planning to move one of the Indonesia-based A330s to Thailand by the end of 2018 and has been looking at potentially shutting down Indonesia AirAsia X entirely.

  2. AirAsia India

    11 A320 at Bangalore

    5 A320 at Dehli

    3 A320 at Calcutta

Based on the data for october!

At least number 20 will arrive later this year .International operation will start with number 21.

I expect first routes like Dehli-KUL and Bangalore-KUL, because these routes are just 4/7 from KUL and not more flights possible from the malaysian side.

  3. Malindo’s total seat capacity has declined in 2018 and it could end the year carrying less passengers than the 7.2 million transported in 2017. However, Malindo has increased ASKs and aircraft utilisation as it has continued to expand in the international market while reducing domestic capacity.

Malindo has been focusing on consolidating its position and improving profitability. This is a sensible strategy, given that it has not been profitable since operations began five years ago, and the intensely competitive nature of the Malaysian market

  4. Malindo Air in the first quarter of 2019 is reducing Kuala Lumpur – Denpasar – Brisbane route on temporary basis, as the airline scheduled 4 weekly flights instead of 7. Service reduction is in effect from 02FEB19 to 30MAR19.

Boeing 737-800 aircraft operates this route.

    OD157 KUL1815 – 2120DPS2200 – 0540+1BNE 738 x246

    OD158 BNE0700 – 1145DPS1245 – 1545KUL 738 x357

The airline will also adjust this service to 4 weekly for Northern summer 2019 season, from 30APR19 to 27JUN19.

  5. Wikipedia is showing D7 terminating KTM on 13 October 2018 and AK is not taking it over.

    I think that was clear.

Not long time ago the route was daily...now 4/7...

When you compared the price for the route to other routes, KTM seems to be very lowyield.

So it makes sense to switch this capacity.

  6. AirAsia in last week’s schedule update adjusted planned Kuala Lumpur – Kaohsiung route. From 28OCT18, the airline will once again operate this route once a day, on board Airbus A320 aircraft. Previously reported on Airlineroute, service to Kaohsiung will revert to AirAsia from 01SEP18 with A320, instead of AirAsia X A330. Service operates 4 weekly between 01SEP18 and 27OCT18.

    Following schedule effective 28OCT18.

    AK170 KUL0815 – 1245KHH 320 D

    AK171 KHH1335 – 1800KUL 320 D

    "Shortage of flights"? :sorry:

More shortage of planes or crew?

  8. Malindo Air launched three times weekly Kota Kinabalu-Nanning service on 13-Aug-2018, according the CAPA Route Changes Database. The carrier is the sole operator on the route, according to OAG.
