Chongqing?
And BA is terminating Chengdu. No more Panda Express.

I only believe it when I see it.
This is very much like Brexit itself. Until now we are not sure if Brexit is happening or not.
There has been a lot of oppositions to this new decision.
Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, openly opposed this, saying it is the wrong decision. Sadiq is pro Gatwick.
The current government is shaky and does not seems to know what to do e.g. their misinterpretation of referendum on Brexit.
Personally, I think if Brexit is happening, this project is important to stimulate jobs, businesses and economic activities.

Would be very weirdly fishy if the 380s end up in the airport operator's books
Payment in kind for accumulated airport charges ?!
I second this. Brilliant suggestion!

Can't imagine his life. Being the first one and had to watch ALL THE DRAMA until the latest episode Bellew!!!
Condolence to his family.

My god! 14 flights and 4,564 passengers!
Can't wait to hear the tantrum.

Yes. First thing in my mind is the failed MH flights to Australia via CGK several years back.
-
Indeed.
If that is the company's plan (seeking a European LCC partner to feed its routes) and I work with AK/D7, this is top in the agenda.
Pegasus serves 103 destinations from IST/SAW, which I think is quite substantial and they are flying to almost all major European cities.
-
The most logical and cheapest way is to go to the largest Eastern-most European city and forge a partnership with its LCC to serve other European cities to its West.
Shortest flight from KUL. And no backtracking to the other European cities.
I am suggesting IST/SAW and Pegasus.

Bagus PB kipidap!
Really looking forward to see the wet lease customers.
Imagine EK flight but on MH A380 with MH crews based in DXB.

Another unusual aircraft-gate assignment.
EK A380 bringing in Malaysian Paralympic athletes was assigned to the Bunga Raya Complex and was given a water canon salute.
I don't think the contingent chartered the entire A380 from Rio-Dubai to receive such treatment.

Yes the 8% market share on the LHR route is weird.
There are only 2 airlines plying the route, MH and BA.
In an ideal situation, MH's market share should be about 80% (double daily A380 vs BA's daily B789).
I don't think all LHR pax using a 1 or 2 stop service can be quantified because it is impossible to do so.
Maybe PB meant an 8% increase in market share, which make more sense in the context of that article.

Malaysia Airlines in talks to offload A380s to Chinese operators
- In talks with carriers in China and other Association of Southeast Asian Nations countries about offloading its six Airbus Group SE A380 jets
- Also negotiating with Airbus to add 90 more seats to each of the superjumbos in order to make them more marketable while retaining the aircraft in a two or three class configuration
- If direct buyers aren’t found Malaysia Airlines is prepared to offer the planes for lease with access to its A380 simulator, or complete with pilots and cabin crew
- Perceptions of the company have now greatly improved both in Malaysia and the crucial Chinese market, which is again one of the strongest for the airline. Demand levels from Australia and New Zealand are less stable because of overcapacity
Really hoping this new plan with the Chinese goes through.

Lexington has been hinting that TK will pick up the slack. We shall see.
-
This is inevitable until the UK gomen make up its mind whether to build a 3rd runway in LHR or to build a 2nd runway in LGW.
LGW has been campaigning hard for its expansion.

+ cargo too (if any).

Just in from the Ravens of King's Landing:
A350 will be sent to HKG alongside LHR. And a big MAYBE of a return of CDG and AMS. -
Per spies at the AK Gossip Division:
AFI is leaving for AAIDecripting the code: I think they are trying to tell us that AFI (the aircraft) is leaving for AAI (AirAsia India).
-
One for the album.
-
Based on that info, if they can't retire the 6 A380s, it should be deployed to Australia and North Asia.

Per spies at the AK Gossip Division:
AirAsia Japan is based in NGO. -

I hope it is based on commercial viability.
As of now, this look "politically motivated."
