    Mr Alastair,

I have thought of joining Bristow but don't want to go to nigeria.

Do they take short term contract staff in Turkmenistan for heavy maintenance?

I did my OJT with Bristow Aberdeen in early 90s.

    Cheers

    A Arif

Honestly I have no idea..You can double check with them again

    OJT early 90..Roger.

I just complete my OJT last years.now base here.

some of the local guys ( Turkmen)doing training here.

Any news FAX take over by firefly?

  2. a little bit of info.

MHS Aviation Sdn Bhd was the first offshore helicopter company to operate from Turkmenbashi. They had a single Sikorksky S76C on contract supporting Petronas Carigali for their Caspian Sea operation back in 1998.A crew of 4 (3 pilot + 1 LAE) ferry the aircraft from Kerteh to Turkmenbashi via Thailand,Myanmar,Bangladesh,Pakistan,India,Iran and established the first foreign aircraft operation. They were there for almost 2 years before operation stopped due one the leg of the oil rig was broken and required to be towed back to Iran for repair. When the operation resumed MHS did not re bid for the contract due commitment back home. I believe Bristow took over the contract.(FYI Bristow has historical link with MHS).

From the picture Bristow is operating Sikorsky S76A++.

    Alistair,are you working for bristow?

  4. Nice shots Alistair, never knew Bristow had a 'local' firm at Turkmenistan !

Before Bristow, a Malaysian company had a S76C rego 9M-STF operating from the airport.

It did a two week ferry flight from Kerteh to Turkmenbashi.

    G.Days

It own by Bristows helicopter Aberdeen joint venture withTurkmenistan helicopter Ltd

To be honest..I have no idea regarding ferry flight kerteh to turkmenbashi.

At the moment we only have 2 birds standing by here.EZ-S703&EZ-S703 for offshore mobilization.
