    see you guys on Sat...

  2. Hello! everyone here, i don't know whether your guys or spotters notice are not, KLIA is very frequent to using the Mode B 14L AND 14R runway operations since start on June until august, and i had been do some research about this matters, in my research i notice that KLIA will be busy using their Mode B on June till september every year but Mode A 32L and 32R only use for several times. when after september then they will only slowly resume back in Mode A runway operations. because i stay at somewhere at cheras and i always able to spot the aircraft fly by in low altitude in my residents area during this 4 months on every year... but unfortunatly i don't have a very proffesional Camera to spot these metal birds..haiz..

    most noticeable among spotters...

  3. my condolences to the pilot families.

In recent years, Russian air force jets have suffered a series of mishaps, many blamed on the aging condition of Soviet-era planes. Earlier this year, officials grounded the air force's entire fleet of Su-24s after two crashes in three days.

Two crashes of MiG-29 jets in 2008 let to the grounding of that entire model as well. A subsequent investigation demonstrated that a large number had become unsafe to fly and they were scrapped.

this is very interesting. while the Russian might have scrapped its MiG-29 jets, what happen to those country still flying them? most interesting RMAF still operates those jets...

  4. Why do we need to be so apologetic? Those vouchers and chocolate shows we are at least trying to say sorry that incidents do happen at times when we least expect them to happen. If it were to happen to Qantas.. my goodness.. didn't you forget how QANTAS left passengers waiting in vain at Perth Intl just fortnights ago for how many in humane hours?. They didn't even give any vouchers as far as I am concern and QANTAS don't even have a replacement aircraft for idiots sake. What matters is safety, and I personally see MAS had done what is best for the passengers.

I agree with Iggy, the important thing is everyone is still alive. there are many more incidence out there far more worst than what those passengers experience on this particular MH flight. even the best of a/c be it Airbus or Boeing or whatever can encounter this sort of problems.

  5. Just wondering, does the GM's of the various department in MH ever talk to each other when it comes to business planning/future expansion? and do they did any research on whatever plan they have before executing it? or are those GM's makan gaji buta (sorry for the harsh words, but that's how I feel at the moment)...

  6. Malaysia Today is running a series of stories on MAS, Tajudin Ramli's era. Pls see:

    http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/category/1/22/84/

I've been following the story, very interesting story. more like a triller story and a bit of action. wonder if there's any Hollywood director interested in making a movie out of this, who knows this movie can beat The International or even Enemy of The States...

  7. Is there really a basis for that 10-metre rule? I think the signboards at the airport fences only talk about restricted areas within the fences - not outside it.

And unless there is a specific sign saying that the weather station is also a restricted area, I speculate that those cops were just making things up. I would challenge them to elaborate more.

Is one really trespassing if in a publicly accessible area?

Who knows? They may soon find themselves out of depth.

There is a big red signboard by the roadside in front of Bunga Raya Complex and after the roundabout in front of Petronas Jet-A Fuel storage tank which says "Kawasan Larangan" or something of that nature. Meaning to say that the whole stretch of the road is restricted from public, and that include the Weather Station and the Treatment plant along the road. Those who used the road are in fact trespassing into a restricted area.

So now, why are the buses, taxis and the civvies cars are allowed to use that stretch of restricted area without being harassed by the Bulis??

p/s: I did asked a Bulisman the same question once and he can't answer my question. He just smile..

  8.

and now they don't need bulis to ask us to beredar...

the MH734 and AK320 are sufficient to chase us out...

very true Norman, as there was Bulis at the entrance to WX station sitting inside the car enjoying themselves watching AK A320 and MH B734 landing...

  9. Was at WX station this afternoon. It was a hot & windy day with good lighting. As for the traffic, well, its all about AK A320 and MH B734 and more AK A320 and more MH B734 until this fella come to cheer me up...its a C-L-A-S-S-I-C....

    IMG_9M-NEA.jpg

then it back to normal with more AK A320 and MH B734 then this fella showed up, coming back from OOL..

    IMG_9M-XXA.jpg

and back to normal again with more AK A320 and MH B734 until this fella came in..

    IMG_B-HXF.jpg

with the incoming schedule showing AK, AK, MH, MH, AK, AK, MH, MH...i decide to 'beredar' myself... :D

  10. it was a hazy and gloomy and dull afternoon in KUL on Friday (26/06/09).....

this fella rotate very early as if it is flying empty and yes, she definitely empty. she's on a rescue mission to KCH, as an MH A330 had a hydraulic failure upon landing in KCH earlier in the afternoon. she safely landed in KUL around 7pm or 8pm in the evening and among her passenger was my housemate.

  11. Did anybody go for spotting at 32R/14L or 32L/14R today and caught Sultan Selangor's Private Jet?

The Star said it landed around 3:50 in the afternoon and went straight to Bunga Raya Complex.

Yup, it did but it landed slightly earlier than that, around 3.30pm and went straight to Bunga Raya Complex upon touch down on rwy 14L.

  12. I'm worried .... made in CHINA.... can or not???!!! In the long run.. I am very worried about the safety.. the quality....!!! the list can go on!1

But China was also responsible for the tainted milk and Mattel toy disasters. It goes without saying that proper QA must be in place, if one is to get good quality products (from anywhere in the world). Where a product is made in is not terribly important. The quality of workmanship is...

if quality is an issue, Airbus won't have open up an assembly plant in China in the first place. for assembly work, there's definitely employee of Airbus Europe supervising the work and definitely there'll be strict guideline and SOP that have to be adhere to. a lot is at stake for Airbus here, just imagine those birds assemble in China drop off from the sky one by one, what will it do to Airbus reputation?

  13. What we missed yesterday, was captured today.

The A345 was taxiing when the police Land Rover arrived. But we've got what we want, so we left the place happy.

was curious when Capt Radzi mention the "we" part, as Capt Sakai was definitely not around as he had a plane to catch. my main suspect was Chaity.. :p and it turn out to be true...hehehehe! ;)

anyway, good catch guys and thanks for sharing those beautiful shots... :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
