    RTAF

    8 x Lockheed Martin F-16

    8 x Northrop F-5

    4 x Bell 412

    RMAF

    8 x Boeing F/A-18D

    6 x BAE Hawk

    3 x CN-235

    2 x S-61A4

what about airspace MIR? might be going to butterworth....

  2. Hi Vic ... yeah I am currently holidaying in Ipoh. I have no idea what's ETA of this Asialink F27 as she has been doing BTH-SIN-BTH all this while.

I will monitor SIN departure flight board tomorrow and hope she will be on-time on this inaugural.

I might be near IPH on Wed/Thu/Fri...

  3. KLIA needs better air traffic controlling rather than a third runway, some would say although to be fair it has improve somewhat recently.

does the statement referring to personnel or equipment? personally, KLIA does not even need both. at the moment KLIA needs more airline flying in rather than better that, better this. at the moment, it is under utilise in every aspects.

  4. the way the engine gone missing, right up to the engine price in the international market doesn't seem to add up, does it? then the press statement from the Defense Minister has risen more question than answer. who was the Defense Minister during that period, 2007? anyone who answer correctly will win him/her-self a secondhand MiG-29 engine......

  5. interesting, very interesting...

anyone interested in buying a second hand S-61A-4 Nuri engine or a SA-316 Alouette III engine or better still, a second hand MiG-29 engine? they should have put an advert for it on mudah.my...

this sort of things make Bolehland the laughing stock of the entire world...

  6. I've tried to put up a list of KUL-based "ACTIVE MWings spotters"... can't get beyond 20... :pardon:

I for one no longer active for I seldom contribute to Observation Hills now (apart from LIMA)

due to reasons well know to us about the hazard of spotting in KUL area.

Just check the Obs Hill sub-forum... how many of us still "active" spotting AND contributing... :pardon:

btw... when I posted this MWing for BH.... only 3 Mwingers turned up... SO I guess she multiplied that with 10 for active spotters... :pardon:

I'd say, that's a more reasonable figure. only a handful would come together for spotting on a regular basis especially in KUL or SZB. even with the BULIS around, those same handful of spotters would still come together regularly. B)

  7. In Perth, airport authorities are building mini obs hill for spotter at sweet spots..Even have a spotter car sticker so they will not be bothered. Seriously these in-force people havent got a single idea what is bad what is good <_>

comes to think of it, the GOF/MAB guys can't even think or differentiate between bad or good.

  8. That is why I admire you guys! You get the shots despite the problems with the bulis!

The DCA/MAHB should issue IDs for spotters (especially those from Malaysian Wings) because it is not an illegal activity. Then it will make life easier for both the bulis and the Malaysian Wings spotters! :)

that issue will haunt spotters of all nationality who intent to do spotting in KUL for eternity, why? in the first place there's no such thing as an ID/temporary pass/permit and on top of that nobody bother to issue, Chaity had the experience of dealing with MAB/GOF regarding this issue very recently.

thanks, Mir. hoping to catch more Russian birds as LIMA '09 draws near.

  11. yup..and the F-16s were built to counter the numerical advantage of the cheaper russian fighters back then..but still..wouldnt the pilots be intimidated..i mean look at the size!!

i just wrote down the full list of maneuvers normally performed by the thunderbirds just so i get a general idea of when to get the best shots!problem is..i have a nikon D80 in my hands and no idea how to use it..anyone mind giving me a crash-course? :)
