  1. wat should we include in the application and resume??

put what ever you can put into the envelope. some info might be helpfull to you. put all cert you hav and most important is ur spm cert.

Remember to write your address correctly and put a few contacts number(mum ,Dad,sis, bro or cousin). there are cases where the guy got the offer letter but address and contact number is wrong ....they prefer to call rather than mailing it you if you are called for interview....lastly make sure your wording is clear......

  2. Hazman,

Wow great SPM result. Really impressive, big congrats to you. :good:

Your result will not determined whether you have higher chances of getting in or not. Same goes with insider or pulling cables but at times it does so far as getting you to the door of the interview room, thats all. You will under go a series of tough interview that will bombard you with tons of questions (eg: situational, math, logic, stress questions etc.), 4 aptitude test papers with passing mark of 70% (or is it 80% I forgot), physical exams and final interview. This is all conducted before you even get selected to go into flying school. It will never be a bed of roses from the beginning. Should you pass this, you will know how tough you are.

Be sure to make preparation well, read more about aviation stuff, have a backup plan should you didn't get through (go for STPM, Diploma, Degree, A-Levels, etc; because SQ basic requirement are SPM+one of these qualification should you want more options to achieve your flying dream.), lastly, just be yourself, stay cool during the interview despite the pressure they put on you and kill the ego or know-it-all attitude because that going to ruin your career in future.

Check this thread out for inspiration, http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1360

and do go to Capt Lim website for more info.

I wish you good luck for the interview and may your dream come true. :)

I agree with you. I took Form 6 while waiting for my application. My backup plan is enter local uni and take any course that i interested and wait again. Luckily I manage to get the offer letter early of 2005. During Interview, remember to do what they call you to do. be humble all the time and remember not to fight back with them if they make you upset.they are just testing you.I was called to sing negaraku. never feel bad if you're unable to answer the question ,in fact you should apologize for not knowing it and say you will read up on it. be honest and never lie to them. not to show off to much about yourself. For some people like me,never take coffee or tea before interview, because you will get nervous easily(those ppl who cant take caffeine only). good luck to all of you....

Important reminder, Try not to be late for every interview...plan your routing a day be4(try avoid jam if possible). Try to chat with the candidates who are waiting too. that help you and him to kill time and also help you relax. you never know the guy you talk to will be ur batch mate in flying school too.......

  3. i wish to go for this year LIMA unfortunately i need to go for sim training. I was one of the exhibitor during 2005.the air show is exciting and remember to go early because u might not want to missed the souvenirs.get it free from all the booth...i manage to get dozen of it....keke...but now given away to all my friend...

  4. i also wont be paying for that Xpress boarding...you can actually sit at the chair and wait till everyone are done at the gate then only go there. maybe you wont get a nice seat but at least u r seated at the plane(best for single traveller) and when u arrive and disembark the plane, just relax and sit at ur seat till almost everyone is out of the aircraft. you dun need to rush since ur luggage wont be out so fast .....so sit back and relax and enjoy the moment in the aircraft(for those who love aircraft)..... ^_^

  5. Did fall asleep once or twice though..cant help it la bro.. :unknw:

Sometimes things get routine so you do end up feeling boring, but overall I am really having fun. I just finished my DCAT now and im on a so called course break for 3 weeks. Starting my CA6 on the 3rd of September.. ::80::

hey it is normal to be asleep, because u need to wake up so early and you need to remember so much things. anyway even you are not asleep your soul wont be around also....wakkaka...hope u know what i mean.....anyway when your life is always same routine, it will make you discipline as well... when u hav rest time in the evening ,make sure you go for jogging,i love jogging at the water breaker .you will love the scenery. anyway happy holiday to you...

  6. i notice a lot of times people tend to have a large misconception about the pilot profession and they ask a lot of uninitiated questions..thats why most of the time i just say that i'm still studying in college, saves me the hassle..haha

Damian dai lou , agree with ur statment...sometimes a lot relative or friend ask me what am i doing , i just say i m taking engineering course. sometimes i go out for dinner at the food court, there will be sales man from maxis coming to you and ask you to change to their post paid line, but i always say i m a student only.eventually it work very well...haha...sometimes when i wear so casual like a student ,i will get discounted price for lunch too....wakakak.... :yahoo:

  7. experience will come, good or bad, it is just the matter of time....you will see a lot of stuff that u like or u dun really like it....but the most important things is 'be urself'...... correct me if i m wrong or....i m really really wrong...wakakakaak....

  8. eh pilots out there equip your gf's with aviation knowledge so that they don't get cheated and instead of that they get a "smack" back at their own face.lol.

    lol...a FAQ in the airline i guess.=)

Hey Wong did u equip. your GF with your aviation knowledge? hehe.....

Anyway to Sanjay and Brennen, no matter how they got their offer to be a cadet pilot, most important is we need to help those who really want to be a pilot but they have no idea how to apply and provide them with some knowledge how the interview is conducted. that will be more than enough. other than that is depend on their luck and their ability to pass all test. but it is good to see both of you helping around, good job. it remind me last time when a lot of ppl keep on asking me how to apply for this position.haha...all the best to both of you, work hard and happy flying.....
