  1. Kianhong, good catch of that Quiksilver Jet. :good:

When is Singapore based 3K planes turn in special livery ?

This OZ Jetstar isn't SIN based as she is now operating the PER-SIN-PEN-SIN-BKK-SIN-PER pattern for a minimum of 2 days according to Liam. I first saw it on A.net and ask Liam to give me head ups if she ever heading this way.

  2. 747 nose gear wheel well looks some empty and huge !

Yeah ... almost as big as a store room where u can put a single mattress inside. Very empty at forward compartment as u can see.

Is that a Cessna behind the Skyvan?

Wow... engine run-up with aircraft behind... :o

BTW.. Chaity.. enough space for stow-away to hitch a ride in the gear bay... :p

The C150 (9M-JFA) was actually on the port side of the Skyvan. Look a bit close prolly due to the wide-angle effect.

DCA's Learjet 60 9M-FCL 'Calibrator II' and Police Air Wing Cessna C208 Caravan 9M-PSM were there as well. Departed before i can get a decent shot of them.

  3. Went to WMKJ again yesterday morning to do some flying over there. Here's some interesting stuff I caught. Enjoy!

I like this perspective of the B747. Not very often one get to see the huge nose gear wheel well. :yahoo:

Nice to see this civil Herc - Lyden Air Cargo N406LC.

Someone up there was asking ... what aircraft is stored inside the Sultan of Johor royal hangar? Here it is - 9M-IJS Gulfstream G-IV. There's also a very interesting military-colored Lake Buccaneer inside the hangar.

This cutie will be flying back to Europe within this week. Though it's in Aero Lanka color, it never go into service with Aero Lanka because they didn't pay up according to the pilot. Seen here doing engine run after sitting here for 3 years!

    Thanks for viewing. Cheers. :)

  4. Woah Woah... where is this vantage spot?? Must go there catch it before its too late!

It's already too late. At the time I took these photos, an excavator was pushing down trees and flatten the surrounding areas. I think after this weekend, the place will be closed off for construction of the new hangar.

  5. Fantastic stuff, Kian! I look forward to seeing her arrive from Bali tonight while i'm at work. Out of interest, what was the rego of the JSA bird behind her in your first pic? Thanks mate! Shame your vantage spot will disappear, I love visiting Seletar as every visit you get a new surprise

Thanks. The JSA bird is 9V-JSB.

BTW, VH-VGZ got a new 'Quiksilver' decal! Let me know if it come to SIN!

  6. Was informed by someone from Perth regarding the delivery flight of Skywest latest Fokker 50 PH-KXH c/n 20249. The aircraft is ex KLM Cityhopper and will be re-registered to VH-FSL once she arrive in PER. Aircraft departed on the dot at 0930 to PER via DPS.

This will prolly be my last update from WSSL as the vantage point overlooking the runway is being bulldozed to make way for new hangar as we speak.

I vacated the area immediately after the aircraft departed.

    Thanks for viewing. Cheers. :)

  8. Thanks Kwek for the group photo! Nice! I looked very tan from the sun burnt. :p

BTW, do you know where that SQ A345 was heading? Looks like SQ is slowly restoring its A345 all-biz class services...

That would be SQ38 to LAX at 1615 ETD. As for now, only SQ22 to EWR is daily and SQ38 to LAX still 5x weekly.

  9. More random photos to share from last trade day of SA2010. Enjoy!

  12. Here's rather random shots from SA 2010 since a lot have been posted by HJ, TT and KC.

This is to Gav. Cockpit of the A330-200F (F-WWYE). Exactly same as the pax version except some extra switches to control temperature of the upper and lower cargo deck. According to the Airbus reps who gave us the priavte tour, she was flown to Canada on the 23rd Jan for cold-soak test and then back to Toulouse before coming to SA2010.
