  1. Affiliated but totally professional. :)

CAE Global recently contacted me for a photo of AK newest jet 9M-AHW to be used for their internal content development for AK MPL program. The thing here is ... they could have steal it and I wouldn't know OR ask from someone else and get it for free.

At last, I got a CAE lanyard, a CAE pin, and a few CAE postcards arrived 3 days later all the way from Canada in first class mail! IMO, it's not the value of the things that count but the sincerity to actually send these stuff half way accross the globe. That's how a professional deals with other. Unlike AK, shame on you AirAsia ... :finger:

  2. Nice catch Chaity! I was visiting Kwek's 'car parking' business when he told me the A345 training flight to KUL. Not enough time to catch her arrival back to SIN. :(

I believe that's another one A345 training flight today (8th APR) as reported to me by someone living under the approach path. :pardon:

  3. Thank guys! Kwek ... how come I didn't see u there? Busy working kah?

2/4 : Second flight of Iran Air tourist charter operated by EP-IAH arrived on time as well today at 1247. Light was a little back-lit and intermittent.

    Thanks for viewing. :)

  4. Thanks Cornelis! I am more than happy to catch anything from Iran Air, but a B747SP is just awesome! :yahoo:

It's Easter weekend. Sometimes the works may be cancelled or postponed due to holidays. Look out for NOTAMS these couple of days and hope for the best.

As mentioned by Kwek, latest NOTAMs update shows that runway 02L/20R closure will be from 0100-0700LT on the 3 APR.

    RWY 02L/20R CLSD.

    FROM 04 021700 TO 04 022300

  5. APRIL FOOL DAY !!!!

Luckily for this time, Iran Air didn't play a fool on us. It was operating special tourist charter flights. The previous two was super delayed, I just gave up. This time not only it was on time, it was 5mins early! :p

  6. Wonderful shots Kian :clapping: So, whats the new aircraft replacing the Cessna 152 II? :pardon:

Didn't you realize that all the Bravo series C172R Skyhawk are missing in Jandakot? :pardon: hehe... They were shipped to Seletar via container and assembled and entered Singapore Register early this month.

  7. Good afternoon everyone,

We are spotters from Hong Kong coming to Singapore for the weekend. However, we have checked current NOTAM of WSSS and found that runway 02L/20R will be closed between 1000 - 1700 local time on 3 Apr. Is there any local information / updates on this? Many thanks for your help and reply!

That's affirm. So that's rest day for most spotters as there's no established spotting location for 02C arrival in the afternoon. If you are lucky and wind favoring RWY 20. You may try Changi beach for 20C arrival in the afternoon.

  8. Hoe Jyh and Kianhong spotting together ? : almost similar shots ! ;)

Love the 732 pictures, guys ! :good:

    Affirm. :pardon:

Looks like 9M-NEA has reverted back to its former life!

    I wonder why...

I can't resist sharing a few more shots from yesterday... cause light was so blatantly beautiful!

  9. Here's some update from Seletar. The reason for me being there was to photograph all the ex Singapore Flying College Cessna 152 II. Acceptance flights piloted by a friend was carried out. All the six Cessna 152 II are sold to an Indonesian flying school and they will leave Singapore within this week.

Additional traffics caught during that period of time was more than welcome. :pardon:

  10. OT

Layang-layang island was originally an atoll, part of the Spratly islands claimed by China, Vietnam, Phillipnes etc etc. There was no landmass before M'sia gov practically built an aircraft-carrier like island to claim a stake of the atoll.

It is located approx 300km north of KK. The only regular connection is by aircraft. (Shorts skyvan used to ply this route). Located on the island also is a world famous diving resort run by some well connected peoples. Also a important breeding ground for migratory birds. Divers/tourists usually buy a package from the resort that cost around RM2000 for 5D4N.

  11. The pilot only has three flying hours.

Wow.. All the info you guys can korek really awesome! We can't blame either pilot for the crash right? Hopefully the cadet will recover from this and go on to achieve greater heights!

I feel agitated every time I read/hear things like these.

Enough said until investigation is done... Hope they get well soon.

  12. As a Ipoh native myself, I am more than welcome the plan of Silverfly choosing IPH as its hub and the plan to fly IPH - XSP.

I hope Silverfly aint talking ahead of themselves. Instead of talking about getting their own A320, CJ etc etc ... Some smaller turbo-prob like the ATR42, Dash 8-100/200 or EMB 120 would be more appropriate for now IMO. I am not expecting a lot, will definitely support it if it offers competitive pricing and reliable flight schedules. ;)
