  2. Sharing some spotting photos taken while on a short trip down to Singapore. Thought that it would be more appropriate to put this under Anjung Tinjau since most are a/c photos from KUL n SIN.

  3. Wah !!! :yahoo: Always covered by MWings member wherever A380 go. Great coverage there, guys!!! :good:

Thai International Airway's logo also half missing... :pardon: Must the new cargo door mentioned by TK.

mmm... Have u guys notice the attitude of wheels on the main landing gears of A380 are different from other a/c. The front most wheels on each main-landing gear is tilted down as oppose tilted up for the others. This is something new. New design philosophy, perhaps? :help:

  4. I recieved an email with a series of photos about 12months back. If this is one and the same incident, and my memory is correct, its was Air China.

I saw these photos for the first time at Flightglobal.com yesterday. The article was published by Flightglobal.com on 7 Feb 2007 but have been retracted since late yesterday (8 FEB 2007).

    mmm... I wonder why?

  5. can someone please summarise what was the article all about?

Fendy!! Apparently they took the articles and photos off from flightglobal.com. <_>

But thanks to free flow info of Internet I found this. Fanblabe macam kena gigit anjing. * Fanblades look like bitten by some dogs*

I save myself a copy.

  6. Foreign object debris, likely was sucked in while on apron.

If you read it carefully, its says in the 2nd para :

Maintenance crews in the unspecified Asian nation used seatbelt straps to wrap around two of the fan blades and the structures behind to prevent windmilling and associated uncomfortable vibration caused by the suboptimal fan.

This is the crazy part.

Whassup with these peoples, another Adam Air wannabe? :angry2:

  7. my lecturer once said, assume makes an ass out of u and me... hahaha

anyway, dont assume anything yet. from what i hear, apparently the buran has not been maintained properly, and they are now inspecting if it can fly externally. stay tuned....

That's quite true as we all know too well how government agencies here work. <_>

I don't care much about Buran as the program is dead long time ago. I'm more interested in the Antonov 225.

  8. you dont want to know the price I paid for this flight there, think most people would say I amd10t :D

Haha... peoples called me crazy also when I told them I go all the way to KUL for plane spotting. <_>

Yes... we are nutz!!! LOL... Who cares!? Don't be so harsh to yourself. Let's call it a PASSION. ^_^

My Salute again to you. :good:

  9. Hi guys,

For you its not special anymore probably, but I want to share with you that I finally got her! Yesterday at Zürich, I made lots, really lots of photographs and I want to share one with you. The weather was superb, sunny, almost no clouds. I booked a very last minute flight when I saw at 1 AM that the MRD was comming to ZRH. My flight left at 7 AM, so literally a last-minute

Best regards from a very happy spotter :drinks:

    MRD.jpg

Congrats!!!! Superb colour!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Book last minutes flight to ZRH just to catch her!! My Salute to you!! Hardcore man!!! :good:

I caught her once only in KUL leaving in bad weather. :glare:

  10. Nice pix, Capt. Radzi!! :good: And thanks for the Milo!! :drinks:

On the other hand, half of my pix are blur and the other half barely acceptable. <_ like capt. radzi said she arrived minutes early and caught us by surprise. src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_blink.png" alt=""> I was still in panning mode. :sorry:

    Here's my photo of AK's newest bus - 9M-AFQ.

p/s: will post others pix in 32R thread. :)

  11. Anyway, anyone knows what island is in this photo? http://www.sabahair.com.my/images/galleries/12.jpg

Been seeing this image all over the net (and being typified as a "Malaysia island"). Maybe any Sabahans can let me know?

I believed this is Bulijong Bay (locally known as Police Bay) at the northern end of Pulau Gaya just a few kilometer off the coast of KK. Geographical coordinates is approximately 116d 01' 11"E, 6d 01' 47"N.

  12. Dedicated this to the great peoples that I met at Oscar Hotel.

:yahoo: Landing Sequence of Alpha Foxtrot Pieter back to her homebase KUL. Flight AXM3000 touched the ground exactly at 09:35. :yahoo:

Norman - the double amazing is super amazing lah! :yahoo:

Incidentally on that day, I also drove a 5 seat Alpha Foxtrot Pieter with 4 wheels.
