Nice weather! Got more?
Nuriman : Safest bet would be either Changi beach or Changi Business Park depend on active runway.
-
Gotta agree with Ducky. -
Wow... even a mock aircraft livery look so nice.
-
Just did a quick check on Sandakan Airport. Its runway is 2,134m (7,000 ft) long and both MH (B734) and AK (A322) serves that place. So the upgraded Ipoh runway is still about 134m short of that.
One have to remember that the great circle distance between SDK-KUL (998 NM) is almost twice of IPH-BKK (545 NM) and 4 x IPH-SIN (259 NM). So I don't see why a 2000m runway can't make it.

BBQ pit tak syiok (not good) unless u like to wake up freaking early in the morning (like MIR do ) and have a long lens in the range of 300-400mm. Else I would recommend either gate 4 near domestic terminal or the mound at rwy 21 approach. These location need a small 2-3 steps ladder.

Thanks uncle Norman for my fav biz jet! Pretty nice looking cheat line on this G-IV.

Thanks MIR for sharing. Looking forward for the afternoon departure pix.
Unfortunately only have a couple of pics on my phone from my self-guided tour
Upload upload!! I only have Pornstar and Virgins here. Nothing specials.

Oh noooooooooooooooooooooo .... Hello Kitty! RUN!
Is it that the Masjid Ubudiah in Kuala Kangsar on the photo depicting prayer rooms?

Mir! I hope you manage some photos of the EK A380 A6-EDE which landed in PER this morning.

I believe 2000m is more than enough for A320 and B737 and I have to concurred what Sandeep had said. MCY runway length is 1797m and it receive regular A320 and B738 from SYD and MEL without a problem. Why wanna depart with MTOW? Burn more fuel to carry more fuel or carry more fuel to burn more fuel?
From Wikipedia, A320 has a typical range of 3000nm fully loaded. And from Great Circle Mapper, some route comparison that I can think of:-
From To HDG DIR Distance
MCY MEL 210° (SW) 784 nm
MCY SYD 192° (S) 451 nm
IPH BKI 84° (E) 899 nm
IPH SIN 137° (SE) 259 nm
IPH BKK 357° (N) 545 nm
IPH KCH 108° (E) 585 nm
From Wiki again, take off run for A320 MTOW (77000kg) is 2090m at std atmosphere. Of course, IPH is much hotter thus longer runway needed. Even with just 1/3 fuel and fully pax loaded. IMO A320 is more than capable doing the route I mentioned with some reserve (not accounting other performance factor, just ball park figures). That is 16 tonnes less than the MTOW (so it's do-able on short runway like IPH). And I just read Firefly is upgrading SIN-IPH-SIN from 4x weekly to daily flight starting from 1st September. I hope eventually i will have more options to go home.
I only have this to say... What Hell For? <_>I guess this is for some poor soul like me in SIN city who long for some home cook meals and dirt cheap food on every other weekends.

Waiping : Am back in SIN city. Going to the other side of Ozzie land soon.

Nice catch MIR ... how nice they parked them side by side. I miss PER golden light!
Cilaka company stole my photos n others for their aircraft sale.

Some specials caught today.
Garuda A332 (PK-GPJ) with new colour in much better light n sky. This is her second run of the day into WSSS. KC caught her first run in the morning.
Surprise of the day was really this Turkish Star Alliance in the form of A343 (TC-JDL).
Second of the catch of the day was this ex-TransGlobal Airways (RP-C8018) devoid of any color.
BA sent 'Change for Good' (B-GNLZ).
Thanks for viewing. Cheers.

Way to go, MIR!!! First, the wingletted NZ 767 and now the Garuda PK-GMA new colour in such stunning light some more.
Keep us update on the specials passing thru PER. Hopefully I will make a visit to PER again not too distant in the future.

Wow ... what a beautiful cheatline on that Gulfstream G550. Love them, such a sexy clean line. Gulfstream G-V/G550 have one of the largest window compared to any aircraft.
And good catch on the AF Skyteam, KC. Early bird catches the worm.
-
N324FP Gulfstream G-IV SP from Osaka. Love the clean line of the design and those huge oval window.
Glad to see her flying, though definitely need a bath or two.
Cheers. Thanks for viewing.

Nice catches ... Love the wingleted 767. Would be stunning to see them on approach as daylight getting longer.
Iggy, what are you busy doing over at PER? Whole wave of C-17s moved past PER like tsunami last month, did u get any?
-
Beautiful stuff there !
I was pretty sure someone will be at the beach shooting as i get off work yesterday.
-
Garuda's A330-200 in new colours is a truly beautiful catch! Kianhong, considering the weather and lighting condition, must say your picture turned out very well.
Kianhong, nice photos considering in such weather condition. Must be the power of L
Sorry once again for not joining you by the beach.
No worries ... Great catch from the terminal. I am sure u got more in ur CF. SQ A345? UM B762?
L only help so much in terms of sharpness ... I shot the Garuda in RAW and tweaked them in Potatoshop after experienced the same horrid weather last weekend with Nile Air.

Here's mine from the Beach ... horrid weather!
Looks like Garuda too get the same idea from MAS... "YES!! Visit our countries every year!"

Awesome selections of photos from the ramp once again, KC!
Beh ta han liao (cannot stand anymore)...can organise a spotting trip to SIN-city kah?
Someone already did ...
-
Wow ... lotsa action shots there.
Especially like the LAN B77F, engine cone still blue.
Thanks for sharing CB!

Great subjects, but appalling weather. No thanks to our 'good' neighbour for the haze that i don't need.
While waiting for Firefly, caught this A320 reposition from WSSL. Egypt-based start up - Nile Air's first leased A320 (I believe). There's another one in WSSL.
For once, the long pencil landed on the Right runway.
Thanks for viewing.

Beautiful pixies !!! Love the rotation and wide angle shots!
Both SPG and SQB were recently seen at the hangar. SQB is brought back online because it's one of the few in B772 fleet equipped with the latest EFB. Only those B772 without the EFB will be decommissioned and parked.
