LGK is on the site, but I can't book it.

Interesting that we're finally getting an LGW-LGK flight.

CITILINK to start KUL-BTJ

source : http://www.en.netral...eh.kuala.lumpur

BANDA ACEH, NNC - Citilink Indonesia Airlines will soon fly the Banda Aceh-Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) return flight route three times a week.

"The direct flight of international route from Aceh, we start on June 24, 2018," said District Sales Manager of Citilink Banda Aceh, Teuku Muntashir, in Banda Aceh, Thursday (5/24/2018).He said the airline operator flies the sky at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

This Citilink aircraft will land in KLIA 1, and it can be the main choice for people in Aceh to continue the journey, such as those with the destination of Jeddah or Medina in Saudi Arabia, and others, as passengers do not have to move to KLIA 2.

However, the tickets are not sold through Citilink network site, but through a travel agency in Banda Aceh, plus luggage facility of 15 kilograms per person and snacks."The new route was chartered by Ubudiyah Indonesia Aviation," said Munthasir.

Commissioner of PT Ubudiyah Indonesia Aviation, Dedi Zefrizal, admitted his side is eager to promote tourism in Aceh, especially Sabang, the famous gateway of world marine tourism destination.

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that the number of foreign tourists on holiday to Aceh as of the first quarter of 2018 increased by about 14.65 percent with a total of 9,808 people. The country of origin of foreign tourists, namely Malaysia still dominates the level of visits in that period as many as 7,668 people, then the United States 307 people, China 246 people, Britain 227 people, Australia 199 people, and other countries."Our main reason is to increase the number of tourist arrivals from Malaysia to Aceh," said Dedi, as quoted from Antara.

Looks like there was no validity to this news article as Citilink has yet to begin services into KUL; at one point they were planning a SUB-KUL route and now BTJ-KUL and neither have kicked off. They are focused on China charters now.

Unless you book one way tickets, I don't think you can do that online.

If the J and Y fares are not combinable - then the calculation would be sectorised separately rather than a through return KUL-HND-KUL. Youd end up paying more than just round trip J.

If it is combinable, any good travel agent can book it for you on the basis of two half round trips and basically pay the difference between roundtrip J and roundtrip Y.

If a travel agent can do it, there may be some sites where you can do it.

Thanks Suzanne.

Another random Q, if based on the website it shows there isn't a bulkhead seat available, does it mean they will not allow you to book it if you are with an infant who needs a bassinet?

Not sure about CX but for MH, if one is travelling with infant, the normally unavailable bassinet seat will be shown as available (if not already assigned) during seat selection - but cant recall if this is a free selection or what fee is charged.

You mean unavailable because it's blocked or unavailable because it's occupied?

If it's blocked - a simple call (not via the website) to the call center (for just about any airline) and they will be able to see there's an infant attached to your booking, and assign one of those seats.

if it is occupied - occupants CAN be kicked out at the discretion of MH (unless they themselves have infants), and can be kicked out at the time you call (not having to wait till airport check in)

That's really useful info. Thanks both.

I am planning to book ANA Premium Economy but it shows on the seatplan (at the fare selection page) that the bulkheads are "Unavailable".

Sidenote - Pleasant surprise that you are granted lounge access for Premium Economy. Does anyone know if it's just for HND or also at KUL (MH Golden Lounge)?

It would seem that Xiamen Air has dropped the PEK-BKI route and now re-routing traffic via a Fuzhou (FOC) stopover instead ?

Ok, now it seem like PEK-BKI (MF) is back on, whilst Malindo/Batik has ceased TSN-BKI
