Another one of my favorite MAS ads in 1994. But dont you guys think its too advance for early 90s? :pardon:

Agreed. It's really advanced, they can superimpose some scenes for their incoming A380 without looking too archaic.

Yes it's advanced. It's so advanced that it costs a ton of money that they don't have enough to play it often!

I think this was probably done during Tajudin Ramli's entrance into MH.

"Treat you like gold"? Possibly true in that time, but I guess it's more like "treat you like iron" these days esp. on the ground :p

Good find anyhow :good:

Everything about MAS is Gold back then. Even the stewardess was known as Golden girls. Why dont they bring this brand back? :pardon:

Rumored has it that MAS cooperated with Josh Lucas or something the name, the director or producer of film Star Wars to produce this ads.

Yup! Even the magazine "Wings of Gold" sound much more appealing than "Going Places"...

I think it's true that they used George Lucas's (Josh Lucas is an actor :pardon:) ILM company. Which is why the production costs was high that they actually went over budget. So what they did was simply to show the ad infrequently.

But I think it's a good ad since I only saw it once and remembered it all this while.

Ahead of its time indeed. The image of 747's flying off of a floating Wau mothership was such an outrageous novelty that it left an everlasting impression in my mind!

MAS ads early in the 90s.Hence, the hairstyle!

I can recall listening to the song in that ad while being on hold in a call to their call center.

This classic Malay film ''Permintaan Terakhir'' (1975) featured the old Subang Airport, and MH boeing 737-200 aircraft

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc6bMrWobUU

The actress inside this video was heading to Singapore while the actor heading to Sarawak, but he said they are in the same flight. I guess it because on that time MH operated the route SZB-SIN-KCH. There were also KLM and SIA aircrafts.
