Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2005 Hi all thanks for viewing. As per requests: For azahan: For tk: Re-assigned to Taiwan, staying 1.5km from RCPO (non-civilian), 1 1/2hrs southwest of RCTP/TPE. For gavin: For bystanders: Engines Boeing is so daring...doing comparison with Airbus. They put up a notice emphasizing that they have more space than Airbus (take note of cabin width). S V Choong 4 Report post Posted July 23, 2005 Denny, Looks like you have taken the shots at Chek Lap Kok. Were the general public allowed to visit the 777-200LR? They didn't allowed public to visit her at NZAA, sucks......
Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2005 Denny, Looks like you have taken the shots at Chek Lap Kok. Pictures were given to me by a CX insider. The a/c was parked at CLK's remote bay. Only airline staff and media were invited for the event. Same here at TPE.
TK 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2005 feels like home. Boeing is Daring...back in 1996, Azahan and i went to Singapore aerospace, the first 777 in Boeing colours was there, entered the cabin, at the back...they put an A330 cabin mock up, meaning to say...they have more space. Actually alot of empty space above is not fully used..now they put the crew rest area above..with seats and AVOD. As for MH 777, tech crew bunk is behind the cockpit, try imagine this...Door Number One LEFT..the space between the door and the last cockpit window...that is where i sleep!!! Pity the 777LR only uses GE engines, Boeing have given GE the only engine maker for this airliner. RR and PW are compatible though...well i dont know why. Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 24, 2005 TK, Reliability ??? (just joking)...anyhow, KLM is very pleased with the GE engines (all their fleet is GE, if you count the 737 engines as well); KLM cityhopper use RR engines on their jets, tho...
