flee 5 Report post Posted February 20, 2019 (edited) Forced to turn back to Hamburg as she is not allowed to fly over Iran. http://newsinflight.com/2019/02/20/no-clearance-to-fly-over-iran-air-new-zealand-a321-flight-was-forced-to-turn-back-to-germany/ First China and then Iran. I wonder why ANZ is so shoddy on their paperwork? Anyway, after what Norwegian got from the Iranians, I would not imagine ANZ would want to jeopardise a brand new plane flying over Iran! So it is a bit of a strange decision. ANZ has been routing their Airbus and ATR deliveries via KUL and SZB for over a year already. Previously ATRs went to PEN and Airbus went to SIN. The plane is well on its way back to AKL. It just landed in CNS not too long ago. Edited February 20, 2019 by flee
