Help~ Differences between air and passenger tariffs

Guys,

 

any of you here know the definition of air and passengers tariff?

 

My cousin just rang me moments ago,and she's asking me about it.I have to refer on my training logbook on it,but any of you know the definition,and it's main function?

 

Hope any of MWingers with Reservation & Ticketing experience (especially Uncle Pieter) could give me definition and explanation on it.

AFAIK, Tamizi:

 

air-tariff is 'nett'

passenger-tariff is 'gross' (incl. all taxes/service charges)

 

P.S. not checked in the appropriate manual(s) !!!

iirc, pax & air tarrifs differ by region & IATA have a specific thick manual about this

My cousin is taking course in Tourism & Exploration management (if i'm not mistaken) at Poliku (Kuching Polytechnic).She just completed her training at Travel Agency.She learned the reservation system or something like that (I had to learn manually,as my college doesn't have enough teaching aids regarding to the Reservation & Ticketing <_>
