Apparently the A330-800 neo has lost its only customer.

Did the governor twist Hawaiian to jump ship in order to appease Trump?

Airbus is proposing hawaian to swap to the range restricted a330-900 for a better value deal but it won't connect Hawaii to most part of europe which is their priority or upgrading the orders to the a350-900. Total orders for the a330-800 series is only 8 unit so its difficult for Hawaiian to negotiate some discounts even the previous ordered a350-800 got axed.
