Norman 1 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 Updated Nov 17. 2006 There is the possibility that we can get a booth at the Air Carnival but at the moment we need to know whether there are people who are willing to help out at the event because I can not be there throughout the weekend . Was informed by a friend... and some details found in WingsOverAsia A booth rental about RM1000/-... anybody interested?
Imran K. 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 Hmm.. Those who are interested could pitch in and together we could actually get a booth to promote MalaysianWings.
Norman 1 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 If open up a booth for not profit matter such as to promote aviation, without charging the visitors, I believe the organiser will let out a booth for free... as previously done for MVPG where we used to promote aviation via flightsim... MVPG booth is always free... and one of the booths received the most visitors, second only to ticket booth for joyrides...

Tze Shan 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 uncle norman, only 23th and 24th? which day is better to visit? any idea?
Attan 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 The Carnival will be on from Friday to Sunday (24th to 26th) with a VVIP visiting either on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Joy flights start on Friday morning and last till Sunday afternoon. The organiser is Malaysian Sports Aviation Federation (MSAF) which aims to unite all bodies involved in aviation and related fields (aeromodelling, spotting, scale models, etc.) and hold annual carnivals similar to Oshkosh. I suggest MWings meet the MSAF officers at the carnival and join its membership. Maybe MWings can share a booth with another MSAF member for free.
Norman 1 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 Oh, I forgot... now Air Carnivals are organised by MSAF.... Did attend their inception in DCA office few years back on behalf of MVPG... Since MVPG isn't registered properly... it can't be a member of MSAF.. If no mistaken, membership to MSAF is RM400 per year...
Radzi 2 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 I'm interested in attending, together with the kids. So how do I gain entrance? I got both Friday and Saturday off.
Norman 1 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 Normally, Air Carnivals are open to public for free or minimal entrance fee... Its main purpose is to promote sport aviations, so money generated from rental of booths, joyrides, sales of merchandise etc... See you there, Capt..

Lawrence L 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2006 What kind of airshow will it be...?? General aviation or...???
Norman 1 Report post Posted November 16, 2006 To quote from the letter of invitation to participants.. Experimental aircraft builders, flying clubs, flying schools, aircraft engineering school, para motors, aero modelers and Para jumpers are amongst many of those who will participate, as are airlines and the military. In fact all those involved in aviation – big and small – are invited. There will be aerobatic and formation flying, static displays, seminars, joy rides and more. Sport aviators from neighbouring countries will also participate and pioneers of Malaysian aviation will be recognized. So... majority will be general aviation...
