  1. Im fairly new here, seldom post things here also. Was wondering any difference between Trade days and Public days? especially in terms of flying display. Interested to go and snap some pictures from there. Best if can tag along with some Malaysianwings member here to guide me as well.
  2. The not so frequent spotter is back. Its so good to be haze free again. Went to KLIA as driver for parents to go Mitsui... So did some unexpected planespotting. With 32L in use for departures... I am stuck on what planes will be there and how to shoot them. Also have to rush back to fetch parents, not alot time spent there The only picture im satisfied with for today I guess. Emirates 777-300ER to Melbourne Also noticed this strange naked plane which after checked I realised its Airasia. Has it always been this way or Is it preparing for new livery? Maybe the sifus here will know. Thats all from me folks.
  3. As it is approaching and landing like the a340 I go till max 300mm but when the plane is directly in front i would say around 150-200mm zoom length to fit the plane into the frame.
  4. Yes it is. Just go to gateway@KLIA2 (the shopping part) and take the carpark lift from CP4 to CP7. you will need to walk to the further end though since the end that oversees 14R is exactly opposite to the Mall/Terminal entrance
  5. This is at KLIA2 carpark Block A CP7. Technically you need to pay parking fees but at least its legal
  6. Hi all, its the newcomer amateur again. Since 14R is in use for landing today so cannot go to the usual spot and find a new spot which is KLIA2. Saw a quite similar topic here which have pictures taken from almost the same angle same place but I went to the Carpark instead to get a nearer shot compare to the smoking area. (I hope it is actually nearer though) These are some shots taken, apologise for not having really sharp pictures. Need guiding and learn from all the sifus here. 7. WoW all those nice shots. Can I know where are the locations to get these shots? would like to go sometimes.
  8. Hi guys, just back from 32L again today (seems this is the only legal spotting place i can find). I was wondering how you guys can get such nice shots always without the fence blocking your shots. I saw someone who brough a chair today and climb onto his car to take pictures. Is everyone doing that or are there other ways to get good shots. Please advice me. Thanks
  9. I just went today. First I went to a hutan nearby 14L as I thought around runway all restricted area. Got police come up and ask me buat apa and they are very particular with drone cam keep saying tak guna remote control kan? After I tell them Im just using my DSLR they went off and I can continue taking pictures there. Afterwards I went to 32L realising it is a public road and no police came up to me. and very happy did the rest of the plane spotting.
  10. China Airlines A340 Virgin Australia Boeing 777 Newcomer here. First time do planespotting at KUL because I use to think every road around the runway is restricted. Got around 20 planes today. Apologise if the picture quality is not so good. This is taken with an 18-135 IS STM kit lens with 650D. If possible care to share other spots for planespotting around KUL? Thanks everyone.
