flee 5 Report post Posted January 29, 2019 SEATTLE (Reuters) - Boeing Co is close to a deal worth $3.5 billion (2.66 billion pounds) at list prices to sell 30 Boeing 737 MAX jetliners to ANA Holdings, two people familiar with the matter said. The deal is the first sale in Japan for the newest version of Boeing’s best-selling 737 family and marks a reversal for Europe’s Airbus, five years after the same airline became the first Japanese carrier to pick the competing A320neo. flee 5 Report post Posted January 31, 2019 What is JAL going to purchase then? More or less guaranteed a Boeing of some sort or other. But JAL does not need to replace their narrow body fleet that quickly. If they order something, it will be for expansion first and fleet replacement later. ANA mainline will have a split fleet of A320 and A321 (ceo and neo) plus the B737s. Quite a good move as the Neos use PW engines. They may need some backup in case there are problems with the PW equipment.
