Two new Airlines from Thailand:

 

Sabai Airlines

The Air Operator Certificate allows SPARK AIR COMPANY LIMITED to operate domestic and international scheduled and charter flight operations. The certificate also provides for aircraft maintenance, ground handing and catering. The certificate also permits Spark Air Company Limited to operate a private pilot training academy. The Spark Air pilot training academies has successfully trained and graduated a number of pilots who are now flying for major air carriers.

 

SPARK AIR COMPANY LIMITED manages “Sabai Airlines”. Based in Bangkok, Sabai Airlines operate aircraft on routes to Incheon, Korea, Phnom Penh & Siem Reap, Cambodia. With additional routes to Chittagong, Bangladesh and Dubai. Future routes include Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hong Kong and various destinations in Japan. Joint venture operations with President Airlines of Cambodia and GMG Airlines of Bangladesh provide additional marketing advantages.

SkyEyes Airlines

As the demand of airbourne travel increases, the management of SkyEyes Airlines has decided and planned to introduce the passenger services. As planned, we will establish routes that will be truly alternatives for passengers. The passenger flights of SkyEyes Airlines will take-off in 2005.

The aircraft

The aircraft we use is Lockheed L-1011 /250 Tristar. This is our wide-body long-range passenger plane and can fly non-stop up to 10:30 hours with 337 seats in maximum configuration.

The routes

SkyEyes Airlines passenger flights will fly between:

Bangkok, Thailand (BKK)

Bombay, India (BOM)

Amritsa, India (ATQ)

Birmingham, UK (BHX)

 

No KUL in the agenda as well

Sabai Airlines...reminds me TG's Fly Sabai, which could mislead me into thinking if they were TG's subsidiary...

 

BTW how many airlines currently based in Thailand? It sure he waaaay more than what we have here right?

Skyeyes has been around for a while. Mainly charter work beforehand none the less. I saw one of their L-1011's in SIN last Sept.

Thai Sabai, I have only a bit info about it, just only their announced to employ FA.
