Some more additional changes to MH's Winter 2012/13 schedules:

http://airlineroute..../mh-w12update2/

B772 to Bali anyone?
Kuala Lumpur – Denpasar eff 28OCT12 MH715/716 operates with Boeing 777-200ER instead of Airbus A330-300

So many routes to be taken over by 738... a plane that comes with even less seat pitch in EY compared to their 734

And how are they doing on the KUL/CGK route actually ? There are more flights between KUL/CGK compared to KUL/BKK now. Last time most of their CGK flights had horrible loads... Or this is their attempt to get some loyal SIA passengers to defect to them ?

Wow, you must take your nicotine fix real seriously to be able to recall those details :D
Heck, I can't even remember date of my last flight (last month ? May ?) let alone the flight number and aircraft regn - perhaps if I started smoking, again ...... ?! :P

BC, thats why flight memory or flight diary is useful... track down the registration and your flight records :)

I have an excel that tracks EVERYthing - bit strange for a girl but yeah - people collect postage stamps, i collect this. Missing some registrations from early on, but haven't missed one since Dec 2002. It gets very hazy over time with the amount of travelling i do, so best jot it down :)

Nerd alert ! Nerd Alert! :)

My wife will never do that. She even finds me nerdy for remembering those "nonsense" details! She won't even bother to differentiate the plane models from one to another. I wonder how your female peers would receive your specialization in this area?

SIA operates a daily red-eye flight from CAN back to SIN too... with a 333 of course. They have another daytime flight but that operates only 5 times a week. It works for SQ apparently but not sure if it'd work for MAS too...

It was flown by 9M-MLM yesterday, it's one of the 3x 9M-ML* series fitted with sky interior/AVOD :)

Kuala Lumpur – London Heathrow eff 25NOV12 MH004/001 operates with Boeing 777-200ER, replaces Boeing 747-400. See report on 19JUL12
MH004 KUL1045 – 1615LHR 772 D

MH003 LHR1050 – 0710+1KUL 380 D
MH001 LHR2200 – 1820+1KUL 772 D

To travel on MH3, need to checkin by 10am, most pax live outside Greater London area would choose later flight. Hence, can expect MH1 has a better load than MH3.

Kuala Lumpur – Adelaide Service increases from 6 weekly to daily, new flight departs KUL on Tuesdays
MH139 KUL2230 – 0815+1ADL 333 D
MH136 ADL1000 – 1510KUL 333 x146
MH138 ADL1430 – 1940KUL 333 146

Given many of South Australian residents live outside of Adelaide, can expect MH138 is more popular than MH136.

When is MH going to increase its KUL-RGN flights? I know for sure there were a lot of J tickets sold between RGN and KUL last weekend.

That aside, SQ is starting its own services, TG just increased it from 3 to 4 daily, NH recently started services to RGN and MH is still serving RGN with one daily flight? (plus it's the only OW (elect) airline to serve RGN!)

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines today announced an increase in capacity and flights for the Malaysia-Taipei route to cater for growing demand on this network.

Effective Nov 15, its daily flights between Kota Kinabalu and Taipei will be upgraded from the present 144-seater B737-400 to the 160-seater B737-800 aircraft, offering an extra 112 seats weekly in each direction.

Effective Feb 19, 2013, it will also introduce an additional four weekly B737-800 flights to the existing daily B737-800 services between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei.

"With the change of aircraft type and increased services, we will offer 11 flights weekly from Kuala Lumpur and seven flights weekly from Kota Kinabalu to Taipei.

"This will provide a total weekly capacity of 5,760 seats between Malaysia and Taiwan in both directions," said its Regional Senior Vice President for Malaysia/ASEAN, Muzamil Mohammad, in a statement here.

"This development is also possible due to the significant improvements in the manner we deploy our narrow body aircraft.

"It has brought the double benefit of allowing us to operate more services for increased revenue generation and by flying the aircraft more often, reduce the cost of every seat kilometre flown," he added.

The new flights depart Kuala Lumpur at 1.35 am and arrive Taipei at 6.20 am every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while the inbound flights depart Taipei at 7.55 am and arrive Kuala Lumpur at 12.45 pm on the same day.

"The Malaysian tourism industry is targeted to contribute RM104 billion to the country's Gross National Income by 2020. To achieve this ambitious growth target, Malaysia will need to achieve 36 million tourist arrivals in 2020 from 24 million in 2009, at approximately 1.5 times growth.

"Malaysia Airlines will continue to contribute improved tourist arrivals to Malaysia by gradually increasing international connectivity through its own flights and also by leveraging on existing code share arrangements with other full service carriers," Muzammil said.

Malaysia Airlines is also offering attractive offers to Taipei from now until Nov 5, 2012 for the travel period from now till June 30, 2013.

The all-inclusive promotional return economy class airfare from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei starts from RM1,159 and from RM969 for Kota Kinabalu to Taipei flights.

The all-inclusive return fare on business class from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei starts from only RM3,179 and from RM2,679 for Kota Kinabalu to Taipei.

Customers planning their travel on the above services can book and pay through all distribution channels, namely, www.malaysiaairlines.com, Malaysia Airlines 24-hour toll free number 1 300 88 3000, MH Buddy in Malaysia Airlines Facebook, MHmobile, Malaysia Airlines ticket offices and appointed agents throughout Malaysia.

Bring it on!

Double Daily instead of the 10 a week would be a welcome start and it easily falls within reach of a 73H.
