  1. I find it rather amusing that firefly wants to focus on 'millenials'. Geeee, perhaps they should talk to air France first and ask how they went with that idea
  2. Speaking of service quality on MH - I recall reading in their inflight magazine around May or July 2018 that the 'service quality level has gone above and beyond', or something along the lines of that. Sadly I have to beg to differ - on a MEL-KUL flight and return, service was extremely poor. In fact at one stage when a crew member accidentally bumped the catering cart into the corner of the galley she dropped the 's' word - first time i have heard swearing by a cabin crew member during their duties. The general attitude of the cabin crew members spelt one thing - it was that "dont care" attitude that really surprised me and is definitely not the same MH I flew on first in the mid 2000's. On the KUL-LHR and return legs were much better - there was a massive difference in quality of service. Which was surprising considering the really bad experiences on the MEL-KUL/return flights. Besides that - the revamped lounge at KUL Sattelite terminal is a much improvement - however i do not feel personally, that it is on par with other one-world lounges at a major hub.
  3. I was on MH3 on 23/7/18, guess I guess lucky that my flight was on time!!!! The ground staff, yes you’re right, were of Italian appearance. They spoke with an non UK accent. They were quite rude as well even though i was checking in at J counter due to OW sapphire status.
  4. It's just over a month till LIMA2017, perhaps an appropriate time now to start a thread dedicated to the bi-annual event. The display and demo program: http://www.limaexhibition.com/exhibitors-display-demo.php List of display aircraft for both static and flying: http://www.limaexhibition.com/download/List%20of%20Attending%20Aircraft_30_01_17.pdf So what are we all expecting from the show in terms of announcements, news?
  5. MPP has been towed to the front of the MAS hanger....
  6. There's a rumor going around that MPP will depart end of this month for good, anyone heard further updates?
  7. Just read on airline routes that the entire June amid now back to double a380's!!! No 747 retro flights! 8. My gut feel is, there's plenty of smoke and mirrors surrounding his resignation.....
  9. interesting. nothing much has been discussed on the melbourne spotters page regarding MTB. Not sure what luck MH had at Melbourne. Earlier last year was MTA severely damaged in Melbourne due to heavy landing and was ferried back to KL via Darwin. Fingers crossed nothing serious has happened to MTB.
  10. Flee, i'm pretty close to booking a return flight to LHR on MPP, however like you i'm kinda scared that i wont be flying on MPP if they suddenly do a last minute equipment change to the A380.
  11. slightly off topic, but speaking of MTB, does anyone know to what extent the damage is and how long it'll be in melbourne?
  12. Nice pics! Has the 747-400 schedule been loaded into the MH booking system?
  13. Indeed MTB is stuck in Melbourne. L1 door from what I've seen - door frame has been sealed and wrapped over with blue plastic.
  14. So MPP will be the back up to the A380's then would it only operate on schedule during the A380 gone offline or is it going to be random?
