AirAsia X is thinking about A321LR!
100 A321Neo are fix ordered for the "normal" operations.

Did AirAsia X finalise the decision on the A321Neo? Or all a321neos will be heading to AK? Haven't seen any reports confirming or denying that.
At the 2018 Farnborough Air Show, Airasia X signed a MoU for 34 A339 Neos. Until now, this MoU has not been firmed up. Many reports indicate that Airasia X might not go ahead with the MoU now because it is considering the A321Neo XLR instead.
AK's order for A321Neos was made at the 2016 Farnborough Air Show and is firm - deliveries are scheduled to begin this year. They will be in high density 236 seat configuration and will be used on routes where slots are limited (e.g. HKG) and increasing capacity without increasing flights is something that is desired.
Both airline groups have a different purpose for the A321Neo - lets see what comes out if it!
