Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted May 2, 2013 Not that unusual....during the military ops in the east coast of Sabah (and I still think it is ongoing but on much smaller scale) there were a few charter flights operated by the FY 734s....to places like SDK and TWU. And it seems that there still are. But what about those Jumbos shuttling KUL-BKI vv?

Philip 1 Report post Posted May 2, 2013 http://www.sarawakreport.org/2013/05/down-at-the-airport/ As an employee of AirAsia, I can confirm that these flights do indeed exist in the system ie there are allocated slot times, aircraft, and flight crew assigned to operate them. There are four flights daily JHB-BKI-JHB on 3/5-4/5, and four flights daily BKI-JHB-BKI on 6/5-7/5. Note that these are extra chartered flights with special flight numbers on top of the usual JHB-BKI flights. These flights cannot be booked or even seen on airasia.com hence are not for public use. One can only wonder what use the PMO has to charter four flights daily for two days immediately before and after the election. Coincidence?
