Rozhan 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2007 RMAF Hawk 208 Crashes, Pilot Safe KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Hawk 208 plane crashed after take-off at 10.32am at the Kuantan Airbase today. However, the pilot ejected to safety and did not suffer serious injuries, RMAF public relations officer Major Zulkiflee Abdul Latiff said in a statement. The pilot has been brought to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan. Zulkiflee said the aircraft, which is based at the airbase, was on a routine flight training when the mishap happened. "It crashed within the airbase soon after take off," he added. Malaysia dun need strong air force, they need good diplomatic relationship that's all, a few fighters for air emergency etc. What the most they can do with the fighters? Launch missiles?
