Some involved in Hajj charter perhaps? -
Yes, bring back the tiger stripes from MSA. That would be nice, with strong message for survival. Arthur brought up a good argument. A stiffer competition indeed in the near future. Maybe the new MH (or whatever the new name is) can stick to its present core business values; cabin crews, strong Asean network, established home base and extreme makeover to the other factors (based on customers-driven input). Love to see them soar high again.

I was lucky enough to see the drama. It was around 11 a.m. I was driving up north on PLUS and just after Trolak exit, i saw a bomba M-17 making a few sharp turn and dove towards the palm plantation. Luckily the passengers survived the near mishap. -

216,000 km/hr * 1000 m/km * (1/3600) hr/s = 60,000 m/s A new flight airspeed record! (see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed) Or should I mention that it is MORE than the speed of space shuttle on re-entry..? hrmm.. -
Simply a breathtaking idea.. :good:

I'm kinda agree with Imran. The entire motive right now is to bring a B747 for the direct flight, but I suspect that given the number or pilgrims from the northern and eastern part of Kedah (as those who live in Kulim and Baling might prefer to go thru PEN instead or AOR) and Perlis, a B777 will clearly a better choice for that purpose. Maybe just a single/double flights will do it. But definitely this will add more cost in terms of preparation and so I wouldn't be too optimistic about this idea. But AOR is really special to some of us, including myself.. The first flight experience that I had in 1990 from SUB to AOR is still fresh in my mind. And having quite lucky to fly to a number of major airports around the world make me realize; there's no other airport that can beat AOR.. (a little bit of exaggeration here.. hehe ) but who can beat the awesome paddy field @bendang scenery right? from crystal clear water to greenish to yellowish and finally.. SMOG.. (u know what I'm talking about) Cheers, -muz-
