  1. Just came across this AlJazeera English article on a possible cover up by Boeing on problems on the 737 NG. Dunno if it has validity or jusr fear mongering. Interesting to watch anyways. Quite long.
  2. I distinctly remember something like this happening to a Fokker F27 also in KCH many years back. A guard near the plane was crushed to death. I believe this was one of the factors that led to MAS upgrading their aging F27 fleet to the later F50's.
  3. Waaahh! Turbulence on the ground! Bad weather lah!
  4. Want another side to the story? Dunno if true or not. Got it from an retired government official who was often flying in and out of KL on government business. The plane went down not because of a traditional hijacking but a case of air rage. The hijacker was actually the bodyguard of the Minister of Agriculture. He got into a very serious argument with the captain of the flight who refused to take off unless the bodyguard handed in his pistol he carried to the captain as it was against the rules for the bodyguard to carry the pistol while on board the plane. The bodyguard refused and a serious argument ensured ending nearly into a fight. Eventually the bodyguard was forced to give up his gun to the safe keeping of the captain by ground officials and the plane took off. During the flight the bodyguard got up from the seat and made his way to the cockpit to recover his gun and honor. What exactly happened next is not really known. But the blame was put on the Japanese Red Army to cover for the real reason which would be very embarrassing for the government. Just what an old gentleman told me many years ago.
  5. Attention state tax payers. Wouldn't it be better if your Mentri Besar have his own private jet. You pay for it ya. Thank you, *hint* *hint*
  6. Sounds more like a little hanky panky going on rather than an "oversight". Like hey my friend, you know those choppers you just got? I have a deal for you. Find an excuse not to use them and so you are forced to look for other alternatives.... like this brand of helicopters which is great for your needs and which by the way I am a dealer for. Get your people to by my stuff and you can have a commission for a few million eh?
  7. You can try going to this site dedicated to airline food worldwide from many different airlines. http://www.airlinemeals.net/ Be grateful. There's airline food that are much worse! I always look forward to on board meals. It gives me something to do on the flight.
