T Azahan 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 As planned, Norman and I at one end of Observation Hill (near Papi lights of 32R) while TK and Gavin at the other end. I knew we were going to be lucky today as Norman's force of dark side was strong. I could feel it.......... Then when Norman's good luck came, we got this:- But its nothing....... Then we got this too:- But still, its no big deal.....

Azuddin 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 Nice shot there. I wonder why Thai using long haul A345 instead the regular A330 or 777. That's an Incredible shot angle of MPD and MRD. I saw MPD at fly above putrajaya last Tuesday and saw MRD flew over my house last week, I'm not sure where it's heading to. Azuddin

Benjamin Ho 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) Hi Gavin, Thanks for the intro... Well, since I missed the morning traffic I made it a point to go in the evening at around 4pm. As usual, I always have to reach the weather station when a wide body had just landed. So far I have missed 2 MH 744, 1 SQ 772, 1 CX, 1 Gulf air, or something like that.. its a gold color bus, thats all I recall... and so on... So after cursing at myself missing yet another MH744, I started working: 9V-SRI, at 300mm 9V-SRI, at 195mm KLM Asia at far away 9M-MME at 195mm (about 300mm for 35mm) 9M-MMW at 270mm (about 400mm for 35mm) B-LAB CX PK-MBX, Merpati 732 OK, I think I need to split the session up... Coming up, Part II... Went over to end of 32L, met Yong there. I think some of you know him. Thanks to him I stayed there till 2 more MH from London and HK to end my spotting day... Stay tune Ben-G Edited January 21, 2006 by Benjamin Ho
Norman 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 I don't know whether I was lucky... or I brought luck today... Since I have to leave before TG's A346 left (it arrived when I was about to leave) Anyway on to my side of story.... I arrived with my Nikon D70s plus kit lens (18-70mm) and some little knowledge learned from the manual and from the net... Very little know-how of dSLR in aviation photography... So with the puny kit lens (but a wonderful tool for potraits tho'... ) This is what I got initially so far... but TK really kept his promise.... he brought the GOLD SeventyThreeHundred & loan it to me So now I can get this... Then with Azahan covering the Southern tip of Obs Hill and TK&Gavin the Northern tip... I can get full body I can get Half Body I can get Tail I can get Gears I can get Frontal and I can get the Obligatory NOSE SHOTS.... I'm so happy today.... since not a single shot of empty runways and empty clouds.... long gone the LCD & shutter lags.... Yippeeeee...
