I found that Singapore Airline is hiring Flight Controller from time to time. My friend who work in SIA told me that they no longer require a flight controller since the job has been replaced by computer. So, I am wondering why are they still hiring Flight Controller. Does anyone know? What is the requirement to be a Flight Controller? Need a special type of license or certification? Hope to get some replies here soon.

I am just wondering did airline still hiring or using a flight dispatcher? Because I heard that they are being replaced by computer already.

SIA posted a job recruitment in their website to hire cadet pilot on 25 Aug. Anybody applied?

Wow....I can see a lot of nice photos being taken and posted here. Keep the good work up. So envy you guys got the "high-tech" camera...I know I need that kind of long-long lens to take a good pics of airplanes...hahaa... Next time round, I will come and help out the booth as well.

Visited the event today. The first booth that I am looking for is the Malaysian Wings booth...I saw Teoh and Tarmizi there, at that moment they are getting the flight sim ready. Thanks Tarmizi for showing me how to use the joystick yoke and make a simple pattern with the MAS Boeing 737. I will go and get a joystick to play with my FS soon. Really envy you guys can control the Boeing properly la....I hope one day I could do that too... I like the air show event also...Eagle 150... I am uploading the pics my a photo album, will post the address here to show you guys later.

wow...after taking a look at the photos posted here seems like the situation there is very happening. I will be going there tomorrow (Sunday) morning. I am sure going to visit the MW booth and take a look what kind of joystick/pedal are used for flight sim. Do they do any discount for joining the flying club?

I have made a call to ask about this. The person in-charge (Major Zul) told me that better visit on Friday and Saturday. He said on Sunday, some of them might be withdrawing the aircraft and starting to fly back where they from already. Just a piece of advise from me. Norman, I am from Penang also but currently staying in seri kembangan..... Add me (kckw_kevin@msn.com) into your msn, maybe I can help you to go to Terminal 3 by using my GPS map (hope it works well)... I will definately pay a visit to the MW booth. means there is this "event", right? and yalor, 800 people should be air stewardess or air steward...impossible to be pilots la.. but my friend told me at the same time in that "event" they are interviewing for pilot position also wor....can trust ar? is it true?

Today my friend came and told me that few weeks ago, he saw an advertisement in newspaper saying that AirAsia is having an open interview in a hotel. He told me there are around 800 people attending that interview. According to my friend, last month our vice prime minister announce that government has allocated some budget for MAS and AirAsia to train up pilots because Malaysia is seriously lack of pilot. And that's why AirAsia have that kind of open interview. Just want to ask you guys here, is this information true or not? Or anybody been to that interview?
