A Biman Bangladesh DC-10-30, flight BG85 from Singapore (Singapore) to Bangkok (Thailand) with 280 people on board, burst two tyres on landing at Bangkok. No injuries or further damage was reported.

Spare parts were flown in, the airplane repaired, which later continued its journey further on to Dhaka (Bangladesh).

Just a couple of burst tyres, but still, it reminds me of A.net's Airpearl who took the same route in his recent TR...

and about the Mexicana:

Mexicana A320 at Chicago, stopped by arrestor bed after overrun on landing

By Simon Hradecky, created Saturday, Jul 19th 2008 06:42Z, last updated Saturday, Jul 19th 2008 06:48Z

A Mexicana Airbus A320-200, flight MX802 from Mexico City (Mexico) to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) with 145 people on board, overran runway 22L while landing at Chicago's O'Hare airport in rain and strong gusting crosswinds around 19:05 local (Jul 19th 00:05Z). The airplane was stopped by an arrestor bed. One flight attendant received minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

The passengers disembarked via stairs raised by a stair truck to a rear exit and were brought to the terminal by busses.

A Mexicana spokesman said, the airplane's nosegear went off the runway due to strong crosswinds.

Luckily there was the arrestor bed. A more catastrophic outcome would have happened if the bed is absent.
